I'm planning on buying 3 (Yes! Three!) SKS carbines that were manufactured in Hungary during the 1950's.

Back then, in the bad old days of international Communism, they were rifles that were supposed to arm garrison soldiers and political hit squads after he Soviet hordes rolled across Western Europe and enslaved hundreds of millions of free people.

Didn't work out that way, and the democratically elected governments of many former Warsaw Pact countries are liquidating the remnants of their Cold War arsenals so they can get some cash to modernize their armed forces away from the discredited Soviet model.

Who is buying these rugged, serviceable rifles? Why, Americans of course! People from the Land of the 2nd Amendment!

Proof we won the Cold War is a $150 dollar rifle that was made to kill Capitalists like myself. Spoils of the Cold War!

And I'll have money left over to buy a half case of ammo! 500 rounds of bang bang!

VZ-52 is a better rifle than the SKS made by Czechs that is also available in 7.62x39 for about the same money as an SKS. I've got one in each chambering.

Shame the bastards in Moscow made the Czechs rechamber it for x39 to be common with the rest of the Warsaw Pact because x45 was a better cartridge. Not too hard to make your own brass though.

Czechs took some of the best of what they'd been doing for the Germans and mixed it with the some of the best of the M1 Garand.

If they do give us the refund I'll be buying a Springfield M1A or an FN FAL. Why? I'm not sure that the Republicans are gonna pull this one off and both Hillary and Obama will re-instate the AWB.
