I've seen his show.

There was some flap years later about denying him a medical certificate for some reason or another, and he promptly got a Mexican license instead, I think.

Last I heard of it.

Amazing! He learned to fly back before everything became automated in the cockpit. He and the test pilot who rolled the Boeing 707 are phenomenal flyers.

If you ever get a chance to read his book/autobiography "Forever Flying" it is well worth the time. Goes back to his USAF days and before. He was supposed to be the pilot to crack the sound barrier but was seconded to Yeager for beating up a friend's home town on a cross country flight. He got caught because he was the only person in the sky in a high performance jet in that whole section of the country that day.
