Are only the pilots allowed to do this or the ground crew as well?
I used to go to Fairford every year and this was just one of the interesting things they used to do. I loved it.I think it is only the ground crew that do it as I can't imagine pilots getting paint on their handlebar moustaches.
Not a bit like the yellow-nosed Me109s...they did look good!
Nah-They're good enough at fightin'. It's the KILLING that they seem to have developed an aversion to. Lord knows they were good enough at it in the '40s.
