It is a perfectly good system. There is always a place to air your grievance. There are always a group of elected people to settle the dispute. The problem is, after the Civil War, sovereignty has been eroded. <br /><br />There used to be a saying. “You don’t have to make a federal case out of it.” Well today, if a neighbor paints his fence green, there is a busybody or Non Governmental Organization that will start a petition in fifteen states banning green fences. They will sue to the Supreme Court, and a national law will be introduced and passed by the Congress. In life, sometimes you don’t get your way. People will not accept that fact, and people that invent or change a law that passes the court system attain power, and run for the Senate and raise taxes and make all our lives a little more miserable.
