How many Barack Obamas does it take to change a lightbulb?
None. Barack simply hopes and the light bulb changes itself.

Bee Gee urges WWII honours....a must see.

Bee Gee Robin Gibb on his campaign to honour members of World War II's RAF Bomber Command. The Veterans of the Battle if the Atlantic have also never been honoured.

Blog of the Day.....'Vet in Hong Kong'.
Vet in Hong Kong is an interesting view of a year in the life of a Scottish Vet in Hong Kong. It is well worth a read if you have time. Russell has also written these two very good books. One is about his time a a rural vet and the other is an investigation of the rituals, beliefs and skills of the Original Whisperers.

Hee hee...
An elderly man suffered a massive heart attack. The family drove wildly to get him to the emergency room.
After what seemed like a very long wait, the E.R. Doctor appeared, wearing his scrubs and a long face.
Sadly, he said, “I’m afraid he is brain-dead, but his heart is still beating.”
“Oh, how awful,” cried his wife, her hands clasped against her cheeks with shock, “We’ve never had a Democrat in the family before” . . . !!!

Light News....
Thousands of foreign criminals 'at large in Britain' as inquiry exposes failures in police and customs checks. Just how hard is it to secure an Island?
Compensation paid to injured soldiers to be doubled. Excellent news and long overdue. Sadly I can't but help this is being introduced by Labour to try and get some popularity. If they really cared about the Military they would dramatically increase the defence budget.
Britain and Ireland worst quality of life in Europe: study. Thanks to Labour.
It's only a cartoon! But Obama adds that New Yorker cover insults Muslims. Only a Muslim could think that.
Bradenton Man, 94, Entrapped In Prostitution Sting. Tut tut. Taking advantage of an oldie.

A blonde gets a job as a teacher.
She notices a boy in the field standing alone, while all the other kids are running around having fun. She takes pity on him and decides to speak to him.
'You ok?' she says.
'Yes.' he says.
'You can go and play with the other kids you know.' she says.
'It's best I stay here,' he says.
'Why?' says the blonde.
The boy says: 'Because, I'm the fucking goalie'

A Little Military Humour....
Q: How do you know if there is a fighter pilot at your party?
A: He'll tell you.
Q: What's the difference between God and fighter pilots?
A: God doesn't think he's a fighter pilot.
Q: What's the difference between a fighter pilot and a jet engine?
A: A jet engine stops whining when the plane shuts down.

"Well," snarled the tough old Navy Chief to the bewildered Seaman, "I suppose after you get discharged from the Navy, you'll just be waiting for me to die so you can come and piss on my grave."
"Not me, Chief!" the Seaman replied. "Once I get out of the Navy, I'm never going to stand in line again!"

On some bases the Air Force is on one side of the field and civilian aircraft use the other side of the field, with the control tower in the middle.
One day the tower received a call from an aircraft asking, "What time is it?"
The tower responded, "Who is calling?"
The aircraft replied, "What difference does it make?"
The tower replied, "It makes a lot of difference........
If it is an American Airlines flight, it is 3 o'clock.
If it is an Army aircraft, it is 1500 hours.
If it is a Navy aircraft, it is 6 bells.
If it is a Marine Corps aircraft, the big hand is on the 12 and the little hand is on the 3.
If it is an Air Force aircraft, it's Thursday afternoon and 120 minutes to "Happy Hour."
