I knew (quick count based on whether I could immediately put a name on them) 42 men and 23 women. The women I recognized were mostly from the 40s through early 70s, not surprising given tv and the period in which I was watching a lot of movies. The men were more spread over the decades. Barrymore and Valentino are very recognizable even today. I think there is more variation among the men, making them easier to differentiate. The women in the last 1/3 of the video are way too much alike for me to recognize.
If film stars are examples of the ideal of beauty at that time then it is interesting to see how ideals of beauty have changed so much over 80+ years.
