MERRY XMAS from Al QAEDA
Yet another episode of what I have coined 'Self-Induced Jihad Syndrome':
Man Attempts to Set Off Explosives on Detroit-Bound Airplane
The man said he was directed by al Qaeda to explode a small device in flight, over U.S. soil. The device fizzled and popped when it went off as Northwest Airlines Flight 253, an Airbus 330 carrying 278 passengers and operated by Delta, was arriving in Detroit from Amsterdam.

By any other name...........from Rico
Whatever you name it, "Healt Care Reform" is a nasty, smelly turd in the punchbowl.
- And this is an extremely BAD IDEA by any name: Obama Care, Pelosi Care, Cuba Care....whatever you call it, it's an extremely BAD IDEA.
There will be a price to pay. The socialists will not like the consequences. Neither will the (poor) horse they rode in on.
Their "legacy" could look very much like this...if we let it.
I do not plan to.
Harry pelosi and nancy reid know this song by heart. Sing along with me to The Beatles tune
..."You say you want a revolution?...."

A HERO PASSES

Colonel (Retired) Robert L. Howard, 70, Medal of Honor (Republic of Vietnam) died Wednesday, 23 December 2009 in Waco Texas. At the time of his death Cl. Howard was believed to be the most-decorated living American soldier. Howard will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
He was a legend in Special Forces when I reported to Fort Bragg, back in the early 80s

Swamp Things
Two strange bedfellows have asked Attorney General Eric Holder to investigate President Obama's right-hand man, chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, for his potential role in the near collapse of mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, just as Treasury lifts the cap on their bailout money.
The real story of our time is how the United States government is being manipulated to trash our dollar at our expense. In the name of "compassion" and "hope and change", you and I are slaves.
The Thirteenth Amendment has been de facto repealed.
And you voted for it.

THINGS YOU CAN ONLY SAY AT CHRISTMAS
1: I prefer breasts to legs.
2: Tying the legs together keeps the inside moist.
3: Smother the butter all over the breasts.
4: If I don't undo my trousers, I'll burst!
5: I've never seen a better spread!
6: I fancy a little dark meat for a change.
7: Are you ready for seconds yet?
8: It's a little dry, do you still want to eat it?
9: Just wait your turn, you'll get some!
10: Don't play with your meat!
11: Stuff it up between the legs as far as it will go.
12: Do you think you'll be able to handle all these people at once?
13: I didn't expect everyone to come at the same time!
14: You still have a little bit on your chin.
15: How long will it take after you put it in?
16: You'll know it's ready when it pops up.
17: Just pull the end and wait for the bang.
18: That's the biggest bird I've ever had!
19: I'm so full, I've been gobbling nuts all morning.
20: Wow, I didn't think I could handle all that and still want more.

'Phoney'..............from Rico
Before WWII started in earnest (in EUrope), the Fwench sat through the 'phoney war' snug behind their impregnable Maginot Line, blissfully unaware of the coming blitzkrieg.
Today, before our financial crisis starts in earnest, we sit through our 'phoney recovery' smug behind our own impregnable 'Maginot Line' of Quantitative Easing, blissfully unaware of the coming economic blitzkrieg.
National 'Debt' and 'Default' (like a shooting war) are NOT phoney. But, to the unaware ignorance is truly bliss....until you come face-to-face with the bayonet of objective reality.
- Trust me on this, it's always a very nasty surprise if you're not prepared.
Nations with a high debt-to-GDP ratio have a tendency to default. Greece and Italy, for example, have national debts greater than their GDP which indicates a real possibility of economic collapse. The US*, Germany, UK and others have their toes hanging over the edge of the pit right now. If one (or two) nations default, what do you think will happen to the rest of the dominos?
* The US is not shown on the attached chart, but has a 75% of GDP debt climbing rapidly to 100% of GDP under Obama/Soetero right now. The boy is trying hard.
- Foreign investment in US debt has dropped. At the recent auction of $150bn of US T-bills, net foreign acquisition was only $8.3bn.
- Foreign holdings of dollar-denominated short-term securities decreased $43.9bn, with T-bill holdings decreasing $38.3bn.
[translation= Not only are foreign onvestors NOT buying American debt, they
are also unloading the debt they already own!]
- The biggest purchaser of US Treasury debt is now the (private) Federal Reserve....printing money and buying T-bills in order to prop up the value of its own currency. This cannot go on indefinitely. It won't.
When (not IF) the dollar crashes, you won't ever run out of toilet paper....there will be planty of 'Bernanke Toilet Paper' around!

Merry Christmas From Washington Rebel

A special seasons greetings to my friend Theo, who was the first person ever to link my early blogging efforts as a "blog of the day." Although I'm better looking, I owe Washington Rebel's success to this generous, good man.
Seasons Greetings to you all. Trust me when I tell you we only respect and trust other Rebs.

CHRISTMAS 1944 - GERMAN DECEPTION & SPECIAL OPERATIONS IN THE ARDENNES

Two major special operations were planned for the Ardennes Offensive. By October it was decided Otto Skorzeny, the German commando who had rescued the former Italian dictator Benito Mussolini, was to lead a task force of English-speaking German soldiers in Operation Greif.

SKULLHEAD SENDS CHRISTMAS

T'was the night before Christmas and all in my cave
not a creature was stirring because they were afraid.
The skulls all were hung by the chimney with spears
in hopes that the Fat Man would soon be there.
The children were asleep all nestled against the women folk
keeping warm on that cold winter night.
When all the sudden there arose such a clatter
Skullhead just sat there, he knew nothing was the matter -
it was the Fat Man with the reindeer.
He landed out front and then said, "Hello"
and proceeded to unload his sled in the snow.
"I brought some things for you folks and the kids
I know its not much but its all I can give.
Thank you for serving your country as you did
and wish I could do more for this no way to live."
Skullhead said "Thank you," for his kind words,
and "Things are not as bad as they seem.
We are all happy and the government leaves us be.
Some day things will get better just you wait and see.
All this around is only temporary, of that I guarantee."
"Well Fat Man," Skullhead proceeded to say,
"You better load up and be on your way.
Others are counting on you to stop their way,
You help people, remember it all will get better some day."
The Fat Man smiled as he sat down, "Skullhead," he proceeded to say,
"Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!" then he flew away.
Skullhead smiled and said, "Its always a good day
as long as I don't have to ride in that sleigh!"
