I know there have been a lot of "bailouts" and many may NOT remember the obscene amounts of taxpayer money that was spent to "save" Detroit's auto industry.
Just as with TARP, Detroit has learned what it is really like to have Obama as a business partner, and to have to deal with an "offer that cannot be refused" by Team Obama.
Ford was smart enough to say "NO THANKS" to the deal offered, but GM was not, nor was Chrysler.
- As I type this the tickers for FORD are at about $5.60/share, GM is at $1.29 and pending bankruptcy...government forced bankruptcy, and Chrysler is for all purposes history.
Golly! How can Toyota be trading at $77.24 without the all-wise and all-powerful hopey-changey Obamessiah's wisdom, guidance and partnership?
The latest news that save-the-planet carbon taxes and accelerated CAFE standards will be imposed on what is left of the American auto industry used to be called the "coup de grace"
