London, England
For those of you who are travelling from the USA to the UK this summer, you must visit the British Museum.
My latest "Movin' Up" victim is Louise Scodie who is an absolute laugh. A bit irreverent at times but hey, she's got talent and plenty of it.

Some Useful Condescending Phrases
Thank you. We're all refreshed and challenged by your unique point of view.
The fact that no one understands you doesn't mean you're an artist.
I don't know what your problem is, but I'll bet it's hard to pronounce.
Any connection between your reality and mine is purely coincidental.
I have plenty of talent and vision. I just don't care.
I like you. You remind me of when I was young and stupid.
What am I? Flypaper for freaks!?
I'm not being rude. You're just insignificant.
I'm already visualizing the duct tape over your mouth.
I will always cherish the initial misconceptions I had about you.
It's a thankless job, but I've got a lot of Karma to burn off.
Yes, I am an agent of Satan, but my duties are largely ceremonial.
No, my powers can only be used for good.
How about never? Is never good for you?
I'm really easy to get along with once you people learn to worship me.
You sound reasonable...Time to up my medication.
I'll try being nicer if you'll try being smarter.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
I don't work here. I'm a consultant.
Who me? I just wander from room to room.
My toys! My toys! I can't do this job without my toys!
It might look like I'm doing nothing, but at the cellular level I'm really quite busy.
At least I have a positive attitude about my destructive habits.
You are validating my inherent mistrust of strangers.
I see you've set aside this special time to humiliate yourself in public.
Someday, we'll look back on this, laugh nervously and change the subject.

Ruh-roh!!!...............from Rico
Why inflation would be good for us
I think the author's numbers are low, understated, but he has the general idea.
While inflation in 1920's Weimar gets honorable mention, the raging inflation (which dwarfs Weimar's) that Marxist Bobby Mugabe has inflicted on Zimbabwe in recent decades [read: now] goes completely unremarked. The "tenor" of the article is namby-pamby, but that may be an unintentional consequence of the intended purpose of the article....which is to convince you that INFLATION IS GOOD FOR YOU!
Why does this ring false like Biden's "it's patriotic to pay taxes" or send shivers up the spine like Orwell's "Freedom is slavery?"
When the financial media arm of the Ministry of Truth starts 'planting' articles like "Why Inflation Would Be GOOD For Us" the wise Scooby says Ruh-roh!!!
- I might allude to the way you boil a frog...or set Joe and Jane Public up for a serious screwing at the hands of their Government.
And now we have our very own set of Marxists about to do for us what was done for Zimbabwe...

On selling out the tea party movement (with a bit of Boortz)
Boortz gets booted by the Libertarian Convention as a speaker. Now with the launch of the Contract from America his beloved Fair Tax has been left out despite being the most popular idea of them all in the early voting. Now, many will know I am not a fan of the fair tax, but it did win fair and square.
Its sad to see the great idea that was the Contract from America, reduced to mealy mouthed non-specific points. No doubt this was so that Newt Gingrich would get on board and support it. Its gone from a grassroots attempt to find out what America wants to merely an exercise in blowing smoke up Gingrich & Co arse. It really annoys me, as someone who worked hard on the CfA and someone who told lots of people about it, that Ryan Hecker has decided to jump on board the abomination that is the Tea Party Federation. He asked no one involved in the creation and publicity for it that he as doing this. In short Hecker sold us out for the bright lights of a Republican front.
How exactly will TPF help with the problem? Its the same ole' Republican DC types trying usurp the tea party movement and bring it back into the Republican tent. Its a con. The strength of the tea party movement is its non-partisan nature. If you want to change the Republican and Democrat parties you don't sell out the minute they talk to you (down in most cases) you play coy. Big names, and many go rushing off like good little sheep, star struck that some politician is actually paying attention to them. Its pathetic, but alas predictable and it will always be thus.
TPE, TPN & TPF could care less about the non-Republican members of the tea party movement. All they want is the registered Republicans to come back into the tent after our little tantrum. There is no question the Republican Party wants to see the tea party movement fizzle as soon as possible. They are doing everything they can to make sure that happens.
This ain't rocket science the non-partisan tea party movement is a direct threat to the Republican Party. its in their best interest for it to cease to be as soon as possible. What they are doing, for them, makes perfect sense and is logical. We are getting involved in primaries and all levels of political life in our states. The establishment of anything naturally protects itself. This is the way politics is played.
I hope the vast majority of tea party types keep their powder dry and play hard to get. I want the tea party movement to be a constant worry to both parties for a long time to come. That is the way you are going to change how they operate and what they do. They got to start playing our game, not the other way round.

Just Who is Barry Soetoro?
"Little Barry, abandoned by his mother and left to the tender ministrations of the True Believers who had nurtured this monster in the first place, appeared in the role of Potemkin Grandson until Stanley Ann found a new outrage to inflict in the person of an Indonesian named Soetero, who she met in college while pursuing her goal of World Peace Through Resentment. Dragging the kid to Indonesia, she found to her surprise that her new husband was as interested in becoming more American as she was in rejecting her unfortunate choice of birthplace. Marriage number two lasted 6 years before Feminism Demanded that she dump this one first. And along with it, little Barack was discarded once again - to the Dunhams. "Here. Want to play the role of Compassionate Liberals? Enjoy supporting my half-Black newly-Muslim kid. See ya." Rob De Witt

When Obama died, George Washington met him at the Pearly Gates. He slapped him across the face and yelled, “How dare you try to destroy the nation I helped conceive?”
Patrick Henry approached, punched him in the nose and shouted, “You wanted to end our liberties but you failed.”
James Madison followed, kicked him in the groin and said, “This is why I allowed our government to provide for the common defense!”
Thomas Jefferson was next, beat Obama with a long cane and snarled, “It was evil men like you who inspired me to write the Declaration of Independence.”
The beatings and thrashings continued as George Mason, James Monroe and 66 other early Americans unleashed their anger on the radical, socialist, leader.
As Obama lay bleeding and in pain, an Angel appeared. Obama wept and said, “This is not what you promised me.”
The Angel replied, “I told you there would be 72 VIRGINIANS waiting for you in Heaven. What did you think I said”…..”You really need to listen when someone is trying to tell you something!”

VBS TV: Space Shuttle Parking Lot
It is by now a somewhat common event, one that for most Americans is signaled by nothing more than a brief clip on the news. But a shuttle launch is still one of mankind’s most complex and massive undertakings, a carefully-primed $1.3 billion event that turns years of planning and construction into a spectacle that lasts only a few minutes.
But to some, it’s the spectacle of a lifetime. People come from across the country and the world to see it. They travel from Michigan or Alaska or England or Italy and line up along a worn river bank in Florida, waiting for hours, maybe days, to see a group of people embark on another journey, this one powered by rockets that do zero to 17,000 mph in 8.5 minutes. To the fans, the astronauts strapped into the Space Transportation System, as their ride is called, aren’t just “rocket jockeys.” They’re like rock stars.
Last month, when the space shuttle left the earth at night for the last time, Motherboard was at Cape Canaveral and nearby Titusville to capture the preparations at NASA and the excitement of the fans. The long wait, cold weather, and even a 24-hour delay be damned. To the masses who had assembled around campfires, on lawn chairs, behind cameras, the event was unmissable not just for the unparalleled sight and sound of a shuttle interrupting the placid dark of a Florida night. This, the fifth-to-the-last shuttle launch, was another bittersweet milestone in the potential close of America’s manned space era, a epic story that began with the heady experiments of the Space Race and extended well into the future, towards the dream of moon bases and Martian colonies.
If those dreams have been put on the back burner by the Obama administration’s new NASA focus — a shift that threatens the economy of the whole area — dreams of space are alive and well across the Space Coast. And there’s simply no better place to see the awe, the excitement, and occasional frustration surrounding America’s space project in a moment of twilight than the place where those dreams, for minutes at a time, become overwhelming, jaw-dropping, mind-elevating reality.
