'Angle of Attack' — From the Steven Givler Collection
From my good friend, Maj. Steven Givler, "New Home for My Paintings."

And on this holiday weekend I take pride in reposting Steven's e-mail to me from April 4, 2009:
Steven is now working at a new assignment in Portugal.Sir,
Thank you for your blog. I’ve often wondered lately whether my more than 20 years of military service have been devoted to defending a constitution that is no longer recognized by the people who benefit from its protections.Every once in a while something encourages me to believe that there are still Americans who understand what makes us different from other nations, and who are willing to preserve that difference. Your blog, which I found via RS McCain’s blog, is one of those things. Thanks for the encouragement.
All the best,
Steven

Thank you, Steven, for your service.

New Israeli Tank Defense Technolgy
Israeli weapons manufacturers have come up with active systems that prevent incoming projectiles from making contact with tanks. Active Protection System rapidly detects and tracks any anti-tank threat, classifies it, estimates the optimal intercept point in space and finally neutralizes it away from the platform using a countermeasure.

The threat detection and warning subsystem consists of several sensors, including search radar with four flat-panel antennas, located around the protected vehicle, to provide full hemispherical coverage. The neutralization process will take place only if the threat is about to...

At Reason.TV — Citizenship: The Pursuit of Happiness
This is exactly what I'm teaching this week in my summer American Government course (and I'm enjoying my new textbook). So this is totally cool, "CITIZENSHIP: THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS":
Whether it's Arizona's controversial new law requiring citizens to produce "papers" proving their legal status or President Obama's decision to send additional national guard troops to the US/Mexico border, immigration remains one of the most contentious issues in contemporary politics. As the battle over "comprehensive" reform heats up, everyone has an opinion.
Reason.tv caught up with immigrants to learn why they moved to a country that defines itself as a multicultural melting pot. Citizenship: The Pursuit of Happiness was produced and edited by Dan Hayes.

It's twue, it's twue...........from Rico
Yeah, Lily von Shtup was right when she asked, then answered herself..."Is it twue what they say about you people...?" followed by "It's twue. It's TWUE!!!" (hat tip to Mel Brooks and his masterpiece "Blazing Saddles")
I am referring to any politician's "promises" which are by definition hollow if they are running for election. It certainly was...and IS...twue about Barry Soetoror-Barack Obama.
Just TRY and use THIS as a get otta higher taxes card sometime and you'll see how empty and worthless this 'promise' was.

NO "Plan B"................from Rico
Our Officialdoms in Washington and Wallstreet have NO "Plan B."
Their "Plan A" is to protect their own self-interests (which translates as "throw the little people to the woves" via Keynesian poverty), and have no doubt that your freedom and wealth (and that of your children's, and their children's) WILL be sacrificed to that purpose.
When there is no "Plan B" you must expect that they will absolutely and endlessly LIE to you to cover it up.
Raging QE (quantitative easing) to infinity will continue.
