If you thought the 'Greek Thing' was fun...
Does anyone 'remember' the Greek Tragedy that consumed the media and FTV talking heads not that long ago?
- BTW, they WILL default. There is NO WAY they can repay all the debt they've piled-on.
Just compare Japan and the US to Greece in these charts.
- And you thought the 'Greek Thing' was fun, huh?
It is not just Anna Chapman asking "how big is it?" ....but many of us productive taxpayers, too. We're asking just how BIG is the sovereign debt problem. No one seems to be 'talking' about that now.
- It's BIG, if you wondered, and not talking about it will not make it go away for real...only in the vapid minds of politicians and the media will it 'go away' (and even then, only until after the next election).
The proverbial 'fat lady' isn't yet singing, but a Greek Chorus of 'fat ladies' is warming up for the final act.
- It will be a tragedy.

On Paper: From Glenn Greenwald to Adolf Eichmann
Mike at Cold Fury says Benjamin Kerstein's withering essay on left-wing extremist blogger Gleen Greenwald is "as good a takedown of this malignant swine I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen quite a few."
Actually, I was thinking precisely the same thing. Terrorism on paper. At the full entry: "The Definitive Glenn Greenwald Takedown."
And of course, get all of your neocon hotness at American Power.

News From the Reb
Jeff Foxworthy - Redneck Games
Uploaded by WBRNewMedia. - Watch more music videos, in HD!
Thought our British readers might like to know that I live in a Democrat county; that nearly everyone I talk to is disgusted with the Stimulus Recovery . . . . that wasn't. It's summer. It's hot. You don't see anyone working "infrastructure jobs." Folks are worried. I don't think the Messiah has a lot of friends in my neighborhood.
A nurse friend of mine summed it up today: if you don't have a government job, and if you're not in the medical field . . . . .
You don't have a job.
2010 is lookin' better by the day.
Thanks, Theo! Hi to y'all.
Come visit us at the Reb. While it's true that we're low key, we get stuff out there. If you know what I mean.

Rachel Maddow, MSNBC's Hijab Host, Embeds in Afghanistan!
There's a Memeorandum thread on this one, so I thought I'd share over here.
See, "Rachel Maddow Reports From Kandahar; or, Just When You Thought DOD Got Beat Up on Rolling Stone and McChrystal..."
Folks are getting a kick out of Maddow's hijab.
Also at Blazing Cat Fur, Doug Ross, Moonbattery, Weasel Zippers, and WyBlog.

Video: Battle of Britain Bomber Crew 06.07.10
Tales of heroism and bravery brought back the past at an RAF base today as Lancaster bomber veterans were reunited with the aircraft for what will probably be the last time. The eight veterans, who would have made up a full crew on the bomber, met at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire thanks to the RAF Association.
