Recovery?...............from Rico
Be honest. Does THIS chart of cumulative bank failures look anything remotely close to the "recovery" BS we're being endlessly splattered with by the talking heads/teleprompter readers in the financial media, the lame-stream media, or our elected criminals?
The talk of a "double dip" is just as silly and meaningless as the "recovery" blather...we never left the recession to begin with, and we continue downward as an economy.
This is WHY your daily experience (what you see with your eyes and ears) does not 'mesh' with what you are being told.
Magical thinking (also known as delusional reality-avoidance) reigns supreme...until it suddenly does NOT.
Even the most gullible and stupid among us will eventually figure it out.

In spite of all our president's best efforts, it would appear that we are in a depression, not a "downturn." That, my friends, is what you'd call Hell on Earth.
But we're happy here in America, see, because we're learning how much we need to change. I don't mean them. I mean guys like me, bad redneck boys who say bad redneck things. "Change!" our president says. You can be sure I'll do that. But first!

The supercharged debate over the proposed center has attracted the attention of a quiet, underground audience — young Muslims who drift in and out of jihadi chat rooms and frequent radical Islamic sites on the Web. It has become the No. 1 topic of discussion in recent days and proof positive, according to some of the posted messages, that America is indeed at war with Islam.
"This, unfortunately, is playing right into their hands," said Evan F. Kohlmann, who tracks these kinds of websites and chat rooms for Flashpoint Global partners, a New York-based security firm. "Extremists are encouraging all this, with glee.
"It is their sense that by doing this that Americans are going to alienate American Muslims to the point where even relatively moderate Muslims are going to be pushed into joining extremist movements like al-Qaida. They couldn't be happier."

'Day two of our almost completely sleepless five day embed with 2 Para and we get to know some young soldiers who are preparing to go to Afghanistan, or “Afghan” as it’s commonly termed, for the first time. Last weekend Canada’s Green party held a policy convention and confirmed leader Elizabeth May as its leader going forward. May and the Green party leadership changed the party’s constitution to remove term limits for leaders, sidestepping an internal challenge from Green candidate Sylvie Lemieux.
Lemieux wanted a leadership contest, claiming that under May’s leadership the party has seen 25% of its members leave since the last federal election.

Ranking #13 of the top 20 isn't so hot as it is, but our "double dips" have a lot of potential and are racing to the bottom as I type this...

Seriously I love my country but some days I just wish most of the people in it would piss off and never come back because its not the place I grew up in.
