Article: Blaming climate skeptics for green failures is convenient but wrong
It’s not been easy being green since the revelations of Climategate and mounting evidence that the science behind man’s influence on climate change is far from accurate, let alone settled. No wonder then that many greens chose to vent their frustration at skeptics and blame their ideological opponents for their troubles.
In the past decade, leaders of the global warming movement have won international fame and acclaim, including Nobel prizes and Oscars

VBS TV: Afghanistan In The UK Part 4 of 5
'We meet some young soldiers who discuss how fair it is that British ammunition used by 2 Para in Afghanistan is of a smaller calibre than American ammunition. In perhaps the biggest understatement of 2010, craftsmen Richard Robinson informs us that Afghanistan is: “just not a nice place.” Then we leave the camp and travel to to meet Afghan veteran Richard Dare. He was a private in the Royal Anglican Regiment, made famous on British telly by soap opera actor Ross Kemp’s forays into TV war reporting. (He played surly tough guy Grant Mitchell in “Eastenders”). Richard was severely brain damaged after a mortar attack.'

Barack Herbert Obama Hoover...........from Rico
I almost said "false green shoots" in the subj: line, but then considered using "heads they win, tails you lose" before considering that there was very little point.
Our Government has NO "hope" of the consent of the people if the true circumstances facing us were clearly laid out.
When every cent written-off has to be replaced by a borrowed cent, there is no "hope" of a recovery ...got that John Maynard, Benny, and Timmy?

Tea Party Group Hit With Death Threats
At U.S. News:
One of Washington's principal supporters of the Tea Party movement, former GOP Majority Leader Dick Armey's FreedomWorks, has been receiving death threats and profanity-laced phone calls as it gets involved in the fall elections. The number and intensity have reached such heights that the organization is leaving its downtown location near the FBI and moving to a high-security building near the U.S. Capitol. And will more of the MFM report this? I mean, seriously, everybody is freakin' out, and perhaps, just maybe, the damned press will actually start reporting some of the extremism on the Democratic-left. (More freakage at Politico, "Democrats privately fear House prospects worsening," via Memeorandum.)
"FreedomWorks and Dick Armey receive dozens of threatening and harassing calls and E-mails each day. Many imply violence and use of weapons," spokesman Adam Brandon tells Whispers. "As we get closer to the election we expect the harassment to increase."
He says that FreedomWorks will hire additional security, meaning less money for its election-eve, get-out-the-vote, or GOTV, campaign. "Unfortunately, we may have to use resources for security guards that we would rather use for GOTV," he said.

WHO's FUNDING ILLINOIS SENATE CANDIDATE ALEXI GIANNOULIAS?
This was brought to our attention by DOUBLETAPPER (professional soldier, IDF, and friend):
Obama's buddy Illinois Senate candidate Alexi Giannoulias is locked in a tight Senate race with strongly pro-Israel Republican Marc Kirk. Here's some interesting data on who is financing Giannoulias' campaign:
Mohammed Sahloul contributed $1,000 to the Giannoulias campaign on June 22.
Sahloul is the former president of the Mosque Foundation, a Bridgeview mosque that has numerous links to terrorist organizations. The Mosque Foundation contributed roughly $400,000 to four Islamic charities that were later shut down by the federal government for links to terrorism. According to the Chicago Tribune, the organizations receiving funds were: the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, the Benevolence International Foundation, the Islamic American Relief Agency, and Global Relief Foundation.
In 2004, the Chicago Tribune wrote of one instance where the mosque’s imam, Sheik Jamal Said, raised $50,000 from his congregants for the legal defense of Sami Al-Arian, a former University of South Florida professor who pled guilty in 2006 to raising money for the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. While soliciting the contributions, Said reportedly called Israel “a foreign, malignant and strange element on the blessed land.”

I personally believe that we must not exclude the Muslims, that we must reach out to them, that we must strive to recruit the good Muslims in our struggle against the evil forces of Islamic Fundamentalism. I still say this, but this does not mean that I am a blind idealist; we are seeing more and more where the Muslims are using their mosques as political headquarters to disseminate propaganda sympathetic to terrorist causes, and their charities as funding instruments to finance terrorist organizations.
$1000 may not seem like a significant amount; a quick Internet search reveals that in 2008 Sahloul personally donated more than $10,000 to various political candidates. Those of you who vote in Illinois, please keep this in mind when you go to the polls this November; Alexi Giannoulias shakes hands with the financiers of terrorism.

The IDF's role in Israeli Society
...a comprehensive look at the historical and contemporary role and influence that the Israel Defense Forces has had in Israeli society, and highlights the benefits of the IDF as a “people’s army”-one which serves as a melting pot and strives to fit the needs of Israel’s ethnically, culturally, religiously, and socio-economically diverse array of citizens.
As a mandatory requirement for most citizens of Israel, many of whom fulfill their military service between the ages of 18-22, the IDF also seeks to equip its soldiers with the professional and educational tools needed to succeed following their service. The leading assumption is that by integration into the IDF, assimilation into Israeli society is...

Telling the Truth?
An old rich man of 70 walked into his exclusive men's club with a stunning young lady in her 20's on his arm.
A few of his fellow club members asked him while they were in the toilet, "How did you get something like that?"
"That's my new wife" he replied.
"How did you get her to marry you?"
"I lied about my age."
"Did you tell her you were 50?"
"No I told her I was 95."

Great truths about growing old
1) Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional…
2) Forget the health food. I need all the preservatives I can get.
3) When you fall down, you wonder what else you can do while you’re down there.
4) You’re getting old when you get the same sensation from a rocking chair that you once got from a roller coaster.
5) It’s frustrating when you know all the answers but nobody bothers to ask you the questions…
6) Time may be a great healer, but it’s a lousy beautician
7) Wisdom comes with age, but sometimes age comes alone.

VBS TV: Afghanistan In The UK Part 3 of 5
'Night time mortar attacks lead into a day visit to Paghman village. A re-creation of an Afghan village complete with Afghani-refugees employed to man bazaars and restaurants. Suddenly a suicide bomber, played by one of the Gurkha soldiers who blend in among 2 Para, detonates his vest. The aforementioned Afghani refugees and the amputees / actors / stuntmen / ex-estate agents and aspiring comedians who work for an agency called Amputees In Action react in appropriate fashion. The army uses these guys a lot these days.'

Recovery? Genius!.............from Rico
Recovery?
Home sales reached a 15-year LOW in June. What then do you call this just-reported 27.2% DROP from that?
- I'd call it the 'bleeding edge' of the next leg downward.
A 'normal' housing market has about a six-month supply of homes. THIS market has a 12.5-month supply.
Still not convinced something is amiss? Still believe the Government can 'save' us?
- Biden (of "summer of recovery" fame) the GENIUS of modern time has just said "we're moving in the right direction."
NO we are NOT.
- Moving hard-left is NOT the right direction any more than downward is...what a 'maroon' (h/t Daffy Duck).
