Unemployment figures..............from Rico
In the early Clinton years, the government "jiggered" the way unemployment is calculated...making it "look" better than it was.
After all, if you LOOK good you ARE good went the thinking, and most folks are too busy to seriously dig into the numbers anyway. Even IF they were so inclined, it's hard to follow the mathematic gyrations and contortions these dishonest numbers are put through. This, then, worked pretty well for a long time.
Current unemployment when figured the 'old' way....before gooberment got creative with its accounting (accounting being one of the many things they have never been good at) ...is running about DOUBLE what the 'new' numbers now show.
Many people who are 'living the dream' know this first-hand, but you'd never know it listening to all the talk about "green shoots" of recovery, the recession being 'over' and insipid non-news from the media a.k.a. propaganda organs of the Politburo...er, the DNC and the Democratic Party (C). "Things aren't all that bad, it's Bush's fault not ours, HOPE and CHANGE, ooooo look at the magic unicorn!!!!!"
With "double" in mind, look at these unemployment charts.
Then remember what the Communists....errr, Democrats do NOT want you to remember or think about: They have been controlling Congress and the government's purse-strings since 2006.

Japan to dump the US Dollar...or dump ON the USD?
Japan is the world's second largest economy.
The USG owes Japan over $724 billion. (The only larger creditor of the USG is China, which is owed $800 billion.)
If Japan will only lend the USG* in Yen, the Dollar will fall hard. So what?
- This what: Higher unemployment what; more expensive consumer goods what; currency inlation what. We be really screwed what.
If China and other nations follow, you can look in the mirror and repeat "Zimbabwe" repeatedly until you forget all that magic unicorn HOPEy-CHANGEy crap.
*The new PM of Japan campaigned on the promise to not lend any more money to the USG unless denominated in Yen. For Democrats (C) this translates as: "We no buy US Treasuries in Dollars, but YEN only now."
Gee...what did DRUDGE just tell us? That team Obama had cut our USG obligations (the financial hole we are in, thanks to them) to only $11.6 trillion? Great cost-cutting, that!

Now, not like our media really mentioned it or that anyone has 'noticed' he has now ordered the use of the Euro instead of the US$ as the basic foreign currency to be used in ALL Iran's FOREX reserve Fund calculations and the Euro will now be the basic foreign currency Iran will use.

Then Congress said, "How does the watchman do his job without instruction?" So they created a planning department and hired two people, one person to write the instructions, and one person to do time studies.
Then Congress said, "How will we know the night watchman is doing the tasks correctly?" So they created a Quality Control department and hired two people. One to do the studies and one to write the reports.
Then Congress said, "How are these people going to get paid?" So they created the following positions, a time keeper, and a payroll officer, then hired two people.
Then Congress said, "Who will be accountable for all of these people?" So they created an administrative section and hired three people, an Administrative Officer, Assistant Administrative Officer, and a Legal Secretary.
Then Congress said, "We have had this command in operation for one Year and we are $18,000 over budget, we must cutback overall cost."
So they laid off the night watchman.

I was wondering if we had now transformatinally CHANGEd from the FDIC keeping dead banks walking, to the HOPE we could keep a dead FDIC walking when I ran across these charts.
It's been a while since I mentioned the decline in the purchasing power of a 1950 US Dollar to today. It's down from 12.5 cents when I last looked to 11.1 cents now.
See any correlation between the hugely increased money supply, the dollar index, and the gold spot price?
It must be me, because I'm sure not hearing anything from the Team Obama cheerleading team ...once known as the 4th estate, but now relegated to propaganda organs and sock-puppets.
Things are not looking so good, but HEY...maybe that's why we're being lied to and not told the truth.
- It's for our own good, you know. Best let the grownups in Washington, DC (snicker-choke-chortle...I just had a vision of Harry Pelosi and Nancy Reid pretending to play 'grownups" with Bawney Fwank...boy will they be surprised when it's time to play dress-up!).
