The New Baby Mac.......

H/T Paul N

20 INDIVIDUAL THOUGHTS

1. I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.

2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

3. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.

4. There is great need for a sarcasm font.

5. How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?

6. Was learning cursive really necessary?

7. Map Quest really needs to start their directions on #5. I'm pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.

8. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.

9. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.

10. Bad decisions make good stories.

11. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you know that you just aren't going to do anything productive for the rest of the day.

12. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection...again.

13. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten-page research paper that I swear I did not make any changes to.

14. "Do not machine wash or tumble dry" means I will never wash this -- ever...

15. I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello? Damn it!), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voicemail. What'd you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run away?

16. I hate leaving my house confident and looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day. What a waste.

17. I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.

18. My 4-year old son asked me in the car the other day "Dad what would happen if you ran over a ninja?" How the hell do I respond to that?

19. I think the freezer deserves a light as well..

20. I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Lites than Kay.

Movie Review: 'Bruno'

For those of you who sat through Borat: Cultural Learnings Of America For Make Benefit Glorious Nation Of Kazakhstan, this review is simple. Remember that disturbing scene in the hotel room? Remember how you were laughing but it wasn't really that funny. It was laughter based in being shocked not amused. Many would rather have skipped that scene if they could. This movie is that scene stretched to eighty minutes.

Endless LIES................from Rico

Does it never end? The LIES from government, I mean.

The ADP report, weekly initial unemployment claims, and ISM reports ALL run contrary to the BLS report that 'only' 11,ooo payroll jobs were lost in November.

The bullshit flag must be raised!

Look at the charts.

US SUSPECT LINKED TO MUMBAI ATTACKS

A U.S. citizen from Chicago played a leading role in planning the terrorist assault that killed 170 in Mumbai last year, even changing his name to ease five reconnaissance missions to videotape and photograph what would become the bloodiest target zones, U.S. authorities alleged Monday.

Mr. Headley worked closely with terrorist leaders in Pakistan, authorities say, visiting them after each of his five Mumbai surveillance missions. They were conducted between September 2006 and July 2008. He handed over fresh intelligence to Lashkar-e-Taiba on each trip.

His work for the group the trips were facilitated by a business he established as a cover in Mumbai called First World Immigration Services.

One letter short of.......from Rico

Anger is just one letter short of Danger.

And while the national debt keeps rising, the national IQ keeps falling.

I quote the 28th Amendment: "Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives, and Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States."

Angry yet?

Fantastic, but possible?.......from Rico

I have been hearing some fantastic numbers being projected for the price of gold lately. Hard to believe numbers, but then again not long ago my greatest fear was that Stalin reincarnated in a skirt (Hillary) would actually be President, too.
- Now look what we have: a "hopey/changey" Marxist foreigner!

Thinking of the price of gold in inflation-adjusted terms and pricing it against Euros and other currencies (not just dollars) I had thought the $2,500 and $5,000 or $8,000 per ounce of gold numbers being bandied about were never gonna happen.
- Just like somebody WORSE than Hitlery was never gonna happen.

Maybe I'm wrong again. Look at these charts and YOU tell ME. Obviously the Great Karnak's job is safe based upon my track record.

In 1930 the Dow was at 34 and an ounce of gold cost $34.

In 1970/80 the Dow was at 800 and the price of gold was at $800 an ounce. Today the Dow hovers near 10,000 and the price of gold is just over $1,000/oz.

I think there is a pattern here. My guess is that the Dow is going DOWN (along with the Dollar), and Gold is going UP. By a LOT.

Off to Denmark, hold my calls.

With any luck, divine intervention and a howling tail wind I'll be off to Denmark next year to take part in an experimental archaeological project. This will invlove me building a new catapult and hauling it around to the other side of the planet then being let loose on a series of period walls from wood through mudbrick to stone. the new machine will be a 4 mina ballista going by the name of Agrippa. Agrippa will be roughly twice the size of Vespasian and to put it mildly very expensive.

Like this one only really freaken big.

And you lucky devils will get to the see the pictures of it as it happens assuming I have interwebs access. The trebuchet project is now on hold untill 2011 which will give the wood time to dry well.

This is of course an expensive undertaking and if anyone happens to know of someone with a wad of cash and a desire to fund general smashage by all means let me know at 22adartillery@gmail.com
