Stock Market Report.......
Helium was up, feathers were down.
Paper was stationary.
Fluorescent tubing was dimmed in light trading.
Knives were up sharply.
Cow steered into a bull market.
Pencils lost a few points.
Hiking equipment was trailing.
Elevators rose, while escalators continued their slow decline.
Weights were up in heavy trading.
Light switches were off.
Mining equipment hit rock bottom.
Diapers remain unchanged.
Shipping lines stayed at an even keel.
The market for raisins dried up.
Coca Cola fizzled.
Caterpillar stock inched up a bit.
Sun peaked at midday.
Balloon prices were inflated.
And batteries exploded in an attempt to recharge the market

Blondes

To a blonde, what is long and hard?
Grade 4.
What did the blonde customer say to the buxom waitress (reading her nametag) ?
"'Debbie'...that's cute. What did you name the other one ?"
Why do blondes have TGIF on their shoes?
"Toe goes in first".

Since Dan Hannan is doing a tea party in Brighton on Saturday this is even more relevant. Why don't you all go to I am the tea party leader and record your message.

The Time Has Come

"Reading Sumner's lecture, first published in essay form in 1876, produces astonishment in any child of the latter 20th century, who has been unavoidably inculcated with the notion that the Progressives rescued the nation from the Depression induced by laissez-faire capitalism." Rob De Witt, The Forgotten Man
"There seems to be an increasing amount of attacks by conservatives on libertarians, which is the stupidest thing I've ever heard! But I believe it's based on misunderstanding more than anything else. A misunderstanding derived from throwing away theory and philosophy, in order to adopt bumper sticker slogans instead." Stupid Libertarians!
"that is the tyranny of the collective. not that it has only one voice. but, that it tolerates only one voice, ... , and one vision, and encompasses only one permitted truth. defined by that one voice. (the following seems a non sequitar. but, it is not. think about it, and no, i will not explain it.)" John Jay
"Yes, my friends, I am a conservative, and make no apologies for it. The last time I actually admired unbridled human nature, I was approximately 20 years old, drunk, and unemployed. Ever since then I have accepted the maxim that The Facts of Life are Conservative. I do not respect anyone who argues this much. How can I? I prosecuted for 15 years and now I defend the Damned. Human nature, left to its own devices, is frightening, sickeningly immature, cowardly, and greedy. No, I do not accept that 'greed is good.' I would say this: self-interest is more reliable than ideology. That is as far as I will go. Beyond that, greed leads to divorce, obesity, addiction, STDs, and damnation." Yes, I Am Conservative, and Damn Proud of it!
You'll find these, and other examples of soft-spoken liberality, at the Reb. Be sure and join us!
