Unsustainable.....................from Rico
The 2009 Financial Report of the US Government has been released. It confirms what we already knew.
- The 2009 USG deficit was $1.417 trillion.
- Total liabilities rose from $12.178 trillion end 2008 to $14.123 trillion end 2009.
- At present rates of growth/increase the percentage of national debt and entitlement spending will eat almost every dollar of Federal revenue by the end of the decade.
The USG cannot keep spending and borrowing like it has been recently. It is unsustainable.
BUT if the USG even slows spending a 'little' bit it could really tank the economy.
- In fact, even with all the "bailouts" and "stimulus packages" many could argue that we are already in a depression.
In any event. it's now pretty clear: America's economic goose is cooked.
Individuals can go bust. Companies can go bust. Nations can go buts, too!
"Si se puede! Yes we can!"
- Obama

IDF Weapons
The Eyeball, Each unit is only slightly larger than a baseball and can be simply thrown into the area that needs to be checked out. It provides continuous, real-time 360º audio and video surveillance and can be moved remotely. It can also be mounted on a pole or lowered on a cable into a tunnel.
The Eyedrive, a lightweight, four-wheel, remote-controlled, observation and surveillance mini-robot that provides continuous, real-time 360º audio and video surveillance. Due to its durability, the robot can be thrown on the ground, go down stairs, flip over and keep on going.

Why is Cameron not getting 'er done?
Over at Pajamas Media I try to get my head round the fact that the Conservatives are so close to losing to Gordon Brown. A hung parliament with such an unpopular government and an economy is just beyond belief. Then again I predicted that he would not cut it soon after he was elected leader and predicted a hung parliament over two years ago. Please head over and take a look, leave you comments and see if you can explain to yanks what the hell is going on.

Muslim Religious Ban On Terrorism
Professor Dr. Sheikh Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, issued a 600-page ban denouncing terrorists and suicide bombers as "unbelievers...without any excuses, any pretexts, or exceptions."
"They can't claim that their suicide bombings are martyrdom operations and that they become the heroes of the Muslim nation," Qadri told a press conference in London. "“No, they become heroes of hellfire, and they are heading towards hellfire.”

"There is no place for any martyrdom and their act is never, ever to be considered jihad,"...

Fiat follies.................from Rico
The folly of Keynes and fiat money is playing out before us now.
The FDIC is broke.
Fannie and Freddie are racing one-another to lose as much money as possible.
State governments are sinking fast.
Cities and towns are going broke.
There are few 'healthy' CRE loans in existence.
Ben continues to print money almost as fast as our politicians can spend it.
I have very little doubt (looking at US debt-to-GDP) that following the Euro and the Pound Sterling the Greenback will be next.....
Followers of Hayek and the Austrian school of economics understand that cold-hard-cash is not fiat paper 'promises' to pay.

Declaration of Tea Party Independence: a re-interpretation...
DECLARATION OF TEA PARTY INDEPENDENCE
For much of its history, the United States has been a land of prosperity and liberty. Sound policies such as fiscal responsibility, constitutionally limited government, and a belief in the free market have safeguarded this condition.
In recent years, however, Congress, the White House, the Federal Reserve Board, and the court system have replaced those practices with profligate government spending and expansion of the government power beyond what is constitutionally permissible via government control of banks, the auto industry, and other large sectors of the economy.
This course, if not reversed, can only lead to economic collapse and tyranny.
Therefore, Individuals acting through the Tea Party movement seek to reinstate policies which are proven to safeguard liberty and prosperity for all. We will organize, demonstrate and vote until this restoration has been achieved. We will stay focused on this goal and remain INDEPENDENT from any persons or political parties who seek to distract us from this end.
And for the support of this Declaration, we the Undersigned mutually pledge to each other our tireless Effort, our sense of Urgency, and a trust in the power of our combined Voices.
More on this here, Matt has kindly adopted my idea of printing this out and having people sign it to display at events or in public places.
