IDF Battle Tanks
Merkava tank was completely developed in Israel and is considered one of the best tanks in the world. The layout of the Merkava (Chariot) is unconventional, with the turret and crew compartments to the rear of the vehicle and the engine up front. This was done to improve crew survival in the case of an armor-penetrating hit on front quarter.

Economic reality versus the MOPE (management of perception economics) underway in our MSM convinces me that our economy is a bug searching for a windshield. There not only is NO recovery, but things will be getting worse.

The "real" DJIA adjusted for inflation has only returned 1.64% versus a 2.5% inflation rate (since 2001).
- "Investing" in the Dow today is like playing a mob-run casino in Vegas or Macau.
The Dollar is no "safe haven" either.
We will soon see:

- Reduced entitlements
- A grossly devalued currency

Think of the young men...
No, not those brave men out fighting for our freedoms. Think of the young men of the Tory Party. Those activists and CCHQ denizens who have heard tales of libidinousness and outbreaks of libertinism upon a Conservative Victory. Those poor men who have worked so hard for their "dear leader" in the hopes they will get "some" on election night. I am talking about those who could not get their leg-over at a Thai brothel with an open house. They have sacrificed so much of their youth and early adulthood for the party only to have Camoron's incompetence deny them what they are due.
On election night when there is a hung parliament or Brown wins again... pause and raise a glass for the virginal Tory men.

Decline of the Republic....from Rico
I have often noted, and commented upon, the similarities of the rise and decline of Rome to the current American rise and decline...usually to reflect upon the debasement of their respective currencies.
- This time I'd like to look at it differently (call it "change").
The debasement of a currency is merely the reflection, the mirroring, the symptom of the decline of a Republic into a Socialist Democracy.

Look at these two charts in THIS perspective, then tell me "but, it's 'different' this time."
- Yeah. Right. Sure it is.
I think instead of watching State Media News (The Ministry of Truth) I will re-view that classic "I, Claudius" and marvel at how Brian Blessed and cast so uncannily forecast and captured the essence of what we are seeing today....right down to mad Caligula!
- Some things never do seem to change.
Marriage Quips...............
