It's official: men are bigger liars than women
At least in Britain:
In a poll of 3,000 people, researchers found that the average British man tells three lies every day, that's equivalent to 1,092 a year.
However the average woman appears more honest, lying 728 times a year - around twice a day.
Top lies for men:
1. I didn't have that much to drink
2. Nothing's wrong, I'm fine
3. I had no signal
4. It wasn't that expensive
5. I'm on my way
6. I'm stuck in traffic
7. No, your bum doesn't look big in that
8. Sorry, I missed your call
9. You've lost weight
10. It's just what I've always wanted
Top lies for women:
1. Nothing's wrong, I'm fine
2. I don't know where it is, I haven't touched it
3. It wasn't that expensive
4. I didn't have that much to drink
5. I've got a headache
6. It was in the sale
7. I'm on my way
8. Oh, I've had this ages
9. No, I didn't throw it away
10. It's just what I've always wanted

Everybody Draw You Know Who Day
Whoa! Today is the day to draw the PBUH guy and certain elements -- at best described as easily riled up -- are freaking out about it.
Certainly hope it doesn't get out of hand like Newsweek's fake believe rumour about certain books and rolling papers -- that got people killed.
News that Land of the Pure is blocking Facebook over this artistic event is risible as Our Girl In Rawalpindi points out
"...Its things like these, the reactions so extreme (remember killings of innocents, banning of Danish products) that make people perceive Muhammad to be an angry arab with a turban, probably with a suicide bomb hidden in it. Isnt the caricature that we are drawing in the minds of so many nations and peoples, not blasphamous? Isn't that an insult to your believes? a contradiction?
"...Also what does the governement plan to achieve from this ban? Have they not heard of proxy sites? Have they never been on the internet? What about freedom of expression? What about my right to choose whether I want to leave facebook for this one event or not? Shouldn't it be my call? Can we not do something more substantial towards building a better image of the Prophet and its followers than this?
Pic "And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows." (Daniel 7:19,20, KJV) Drawn out by GrEaT sAtAn"S gIrLfRiEnD

Strive for Socialism................from Rico
Remember Margaret Thatcher's immortal quote:
"The problem with Socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money."
which describes perfectly the government's confiscation of the 'surplus' of one part of the population and their giving it to the other part.
- Also called "spreading the wealth" by Marxists like Obama-Soetoro.
which perfectly IGNORES the hard arithmetic truth that once you reach total confiscation, a continuation of this policy is impossible.
More correctly stated, "The problem with Socialism is that eventually the money runs out of purchasing power." [think: Zimbabwe]
Easy, eh?
- Then why cannot the 40# brains in government or the big circus tent called Congress figure this out?

How healthy IS it?...............from Rico
The much media-red shed vaunted US 'recovery' is SO healthy that:
- one-in-ten mortgages are delinquent (a new record), and
- one-in-twenty mortgages are in foreclosure.
You wanted "change" fiddy-two percenters! You got it.......I'd say in spades, but you'd just call me racist!

Face It!
44's dysfunctional academic worldview shared by unconvincingly alleged 'smart peoples' totally sucks!
"...Aside from the passing of messianic environmentalism and European utopianism, we are also seeing the unraveling of Obama’s reset-button foreign policy, announced to such fanfare in January 2009. It was apparently predicated on the assumption that much of the tension in the world was caused by George W. Bush’s United States, and therefore could be ameliorated through apology, retrenchment, dialogue, public self-critique, and criticism of prior presidents.
"...So add it all up: the Al-Arabiya interview, the Cairo speech, the distancing from Israel, the euphemisms like “overseas contingency operations” and “man-caused disasters,” the politically correct banishment of any anti-terrorism phraseology associated with Islam, the repeated announcements of the closing of Guantanamo and the trying of KSM in New York, the strange case of Attorney General Eric Holder, who can call his own fellow citizens “cowards” but not associate radical Islam with recent attempts by Muslims to kill those fellow citizens en masse — and we get Syria supplying terrorists with missiles, Iran ever closer to a bomb, and the largest number of terrorist attempts inside the U.S. over the past year than during any other twelve-month period since September 11, 2001.
"...Indeed, a trait of this administration is to speak far more harshly of fellow Americans than it does of our enemies: Arizonans vote to enforce federal immigration laws, so the administration offers them up to the Chinese as an example of American civil-liberties violations. In our morally equivalent world, a government that would enforce laws against those who entered the country illegally is not all that different from a government that not long ago killed more than 40 million of its own.

White Horse Blakeney, North Norfolk
A Review by our Restaurant Critic - 'The Norfolk Diner'
It all started badly.
We arrived at the correct time and the place was busy.
The person that had booked (a Londoner) earlier that day for nine people was told there was no booking recorded.
This was not the fault of the White Horse as our friend had clearly made a booking with another establishment of the same name!
Anyway, the manager could not have been more helpful or professional and had us seated within minutes.
There are 30 wines available by the glass which is a welcome change from the usual three horrible red and white ones normally proffered.
Although the lunches mainly consisted of the traditional roasts and a couple of fish dishes, there were some interesting starters including a delicious Weybourne potted crab with Indian spices.
The roast lamb was beautifully cooked but tasteless and the roast loin of pork was very fatty, to such an extent that the children left it all.
The service was efficient and unobtrusive and the prices reasonable for North Norfolk.
Although we all agreed that we would definitely go back, a change of butcher would improve the experience.
