As usual, we do NOT see this one coming. We are not "hearing" it either due to all the noise-chatter from the financial media or the mainstream media who are "cheerleading" the success of Keynesian recovery [read: Mugabenomics socialist-style].
Our sovereign debt problems will play out like what happened in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Indonesia, Peru & Thailand. [Well, you're probably tired of me gassing-on about Weimar and Zimbabwe by now, but we never learn from history do we?]
1. A broad BIG correction is coming in the next several months across the equity markets.
2. The Dow et al will then reinflate on the back of devalued currencies (the Dollar & Euro will be devalued).
- The Dollar is in a long-term decline, down more than 31% from 2001.
3. Natural resources [read: commodities like oil-copper-gold] will outperform equities.
I "HOPE" I'm wrong, but we are going to get a "CHANGE" and we will not like it.....

Grease vs. Greece vs. USA...............from Rico
I remember a musical called "Grease" which was truly horrible.
Then there were the recent riots in Greece (thank you socialist economic exuberance) which were worse, and real...not cinematic.
The US of A now has a budget deficit of 11% of GDP which is not so very far from Greece's 13%.
The US is bigger than Greece.
D'uh!
And the NY Fed prints a comic book about inflation [see attached excerpt from their "Guide to Inflation"] which pretty much proves (a) they think we are idiots, and (b) they ARE idiots.
- Some have called this Keynesian for kretins. I call it crapola!!
If there was ANY doubt before this that we were screwed, this ends it. We are SO royally screwed.....

Shagger Nokes' tale gets more interesting...
"A shiney new Conservative MP is caught having trysts with a younger man even though she was married. Fortunately for all involved, her “toy boy” is a Conservative local counsellor James Dinsdale albeit a married one. A sad lapse of judgement that is both an embarassment to her family and the new government surely. However its nothing new and is really not that big a deal right?"

Chemistry question......
During an exam of Chemistry, one of the question was:
Which is the difference between a solution and a dissolution?
One of the student’s answer:
If we put two of our politicians in a tank full of acid, we’ll obtain a dissolution. But if we place all of our politicians inside, that will be a solution.

Thus spoke J. Wellington Wimpy............from Rico
Aldous Huxley once famously observed that "Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored."
The fast-talking con artists [a.k.a. politicians] merrily experimenting with other people's money [OPM] are going to burden us all with higher taxes, fewer services, and a lower standard of living.
- Marxism/socialism and wealth redistribution tend to consistently result in impoverishing the masses and enriching the privleged few, contrary to their "tax the rich" we're "fighting for the little guy" baloney.
Look at the attached charts and tell me all about the fairytale of "recovery" and the socialist utopia ahead if we can just spend more money.
The twins (I call them Scylla and Charybdis) of near-term deflation and longer-term inflation coupled with massive US (Federal and State) deficits AND huge European sovereign debt problems = stay well clear of BONDS (government debt a.k.a. promises to pay you back someday in return for your money today)!!!
My own retort to the notional claims of "recovery" floating about like economic broken wind:
- "In your dreams, Sparky!"
Closing with the words of J. Wellington Wimpy (who lives eternally in the swamp of self-annointed political "leaders"):
- "I will gladly pay you Thursday for a hamburger today."
Sound at all familiar to the political 'promises' of today? No matter what you call it, broke and unable to pay remains broke and unable to pay.

A Father's Day Message from the Reb
My pop has sent me off to war more times that I am sure he cares to remember.
He's never complained. I have a son. The thought of him leaving and spending
time on the two way range is one of the few things that makes my blood boil. My
dad is a mans man. He never complains. Lung cancer and he worked every day
during treatment. Brain cancer and repeat. Prostate cancer and he's never missed
a day. He raised two unruly sons on his own and having raised a family of my own
I am in constant awe of this feat. Ya'll don't know me and my brother.......
Pop watches events unfold around him in this post modernist society and
just shakes his head. He never says much though he knows what's coming. He'll
ask me "Virgil, what are you going to do?" and I'll look at him and he'll say
"that's what I figure" "watch out for yer brother" and I'll always say "back to
back, pop, back to back". He raised us. He knows what we will and will not
tolerate. I know the kind of world I will leave for my young. Virgil's

Before Heidi Klum and Sarah Brandner: The Incomparable Claudia Schiffer
Marlene Dietrich was a little before my time, but more recently, before the fame and glamor of Heidi Klum and the Sports Illustrated hotness of Sarah Brandner, we were graced with the loveliness of Claudia Schiffer:
See also Proof Positive, "Friday Night Babe: Claudia Schiffer."
And don't miss Sir Smitty's "Rule 5 Sunday" for a huge roundup of hotness, a post that makes up for last weekend's babalicious hiatus.
