The Zimbabwe Phenomenon...............from Rico
Looking at market performance on a nominal basis (unadjusted for inflation) is foolish, but Benny and Timmy and Co could not be happier if the public remained clueless and ignorant of the Zimbabwe Phenomenon (when the market goes up by a billion%, yet purchasing power drops by a trillion%).
We've been officially told there is NO inflation. Riiight.
We've also been told the Fed's new mission with QE2 is to create some inflation. Riiiiiiight.
This will not end well.

Shopper Hospitalized After Stampede at North Buffalo Target Store
I couldn't find a YouTube, so check the link: "Black Friday Mob Tramples Shopper at North Buffalo Target Store."
My wife loves these sales. She'll go out at the most godless early morning hours, and Thursday night, amazingly, Toys “R” Us opened at 10:00pm for the early bird (or late bird) shoppers. The line was already down the parking lot to the Best Buy store, so she said fugetaboutit!! And it's a good thing too: "Black Friday 2010: Woman Arrested, Threatened to Shoot Shoppers at Toys "R" Us."

After Thanksgiving Meal Poem........
I ate too much Turkey, I ate too much corn,
I ate too much pudding and pie.
I'm stuffed up with muffins and too much stuffin'
I'm probably going to die.
I piled up my plate and I ate and I ate.
But I wish I had known when to stop,
For I'm so crammed with yams, sauces, gravies, and jams
That my buttons are starting to pop!
I'm full of tomatoes and french fried potatoes
My stomach is swollen and sore,
But there's still some dessert so I guess it won't hurt if
I eat just a little bit more!

Follow the money, not the noise............from Rico
Follow the MONEY, and do not be distracted by the FTV-MSM chatter and 'white noise' telling you "It's OK, just move-along now, nothing to see here. No problem."
Insiders We are seeing the biggest insider selling-to-buying imbalance ever recorded. S&P insider selling was 8,279.5x times greater than buying (Bloomberg) in the first week of QE2 POMO.
Retail Investors (Mom & Pop) have lost confidence in the charade of free markets, and rightfully so. The game is rigged. Those who could, have left already or are leaving.
- We have just seen the 29th consecutive week of outflow from domestic mutual funds.
Who remains? All seriousness aside, how can the market be going UP when nobody but CNBC's "Fast Money", the Primary Dealers, and some hedge funds are putting money into the market?
- Maybe the Fed, the 18 Primary Dealers, and HFT (high frequency trading....which 'churn' but do not 'hold' positions) CAN run the Dow UP to nosebleed levels, but between them this amounts to economic seppuku for the US Dollar.
At least the robotraders and the Fed are providing some liquidity for the smart ones to make an exit now. It's going to be quite a collapse when the algorith driven-robotraders and the Fed run out of OPM (other people's money) and this game shuts down.
The proverbial sh*t is going to hit the fan then............

Movie Review..........

Short Review: One of the joys of being a father of a small girl is the privilege of indulging her girly side: attending her tea parties, complementing her when she wears a new outfit and taking her to see fun, light feminine films like this one.

Thanksgiving 2010...........from Rico
IF Norman Rockwell had been a redneck, Thanksgiving would have looked something very much like this.
Whether you have KFC, a traditional meal, MRE's, or whatever....I hope you will join me in giving THANKS,
and your celebratory meal looks like this at the end.

Happy Thanksgiving .............. from PeterGunn
TWAS THE NIGHT OF THANKSGIVING,
BUT I JUST COULDN'T SLEEP.
I TRIED COUNTING BACKWARDS,
I TRIED COUNTING SHEEP.
THE LEFTOVERS BECKONED -
THE DARK MEAT AND WHITE,
BUT I FOUGHT THE TEMPTATION
WITH ALL OF MY MIGHT.
TOSSING AND TURNING WITH ANTICIPATION,
THE THOUGHT OF A SNACK BECAME INFATUATION.
SO, I RACED TO THE KITCHEN, FLUNG OPEN THE DOOR,
AND GAZED AT THE FRIDGE, FULL OF GOODIES GALORE.
GOBBLED UP TURKEY AND BUTTERED POTATOES,
PICKLES AND CARROTS, BEANS AND TOMATOES.
I FELT MYSELF SWELLING SO PLUMP AND SO ROUND,
'TIL ALL OF A SUDDEN, I ROSE OFF THE GROUND.
I CRASHED THROUGH THE CEILING, FLOATING INTO THE SKY,
WITH A MOUTHFUL OF PUDDING AND A HANDFUL OF PIE.
BUT, I MANAGED TO YELL AS I SOARED PAST THE TREES....
HAPPY EATING TO ALL - PASS THE CRANBERRIES, PLEASE.
MAY YOUR STUFFING BE TASTY,
MAY YOUR TURKEY BE PLUMP.
MAY YOUR POTATOES 'N GRAVY HAVE NARY A LUMP.
MAY YOUR YAMS BE DELICIOUS.
MAY YOUR PIES TAKE THE PRIZE,
MAY YOUR THANKSGIVING DINNER STAY OFF OF YOUR THIGHS!!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL

Sliding to tanking..............from Rico
The proverbial cheese has been sliding off the US Dollar's cracker for a long time now, so it is NO SURPRISE to read Matt Drudge's banner today:
CHINA-RUSSIA QUIT DOLLAR
Well no kidding!
Unless you have been 'distracted' by the happy-face MSM/FTV telling you "it's gonna be OK" and/or the faux "reality" TV programming you surely expected something like this. You also expect something like foreign sovereign states stopping their purchases of US Treasurys/Gov't Bonds which are J. Wellington Wimpey-esque promises to 'pay you someday for your money today' when they figure-out they aren't going to get paid because ALL the money the USG is currently spending is borrowed because it's broke [read: flat-busted, insolvent, bankrupt].

Animal Rights Group Condemns Sarah Palin 'Snuff Film'
They've cut the clip here, but at about 35 seconds Sarah Palin whaps a halibut: WaPo has the story, "Sarah Palin's 'Snuff Film' Has Animal Rights Group Angry." But according the Alaska Charter Association (via JWF), "Halibut clubbing is actually a standard practice among fishermen."

Pike River Mine Accident
For those of you following the Pike River mine accident in New Zealand, there was a second blast yesterday afternoon our time confirming the volitility of the mine which had prevented any rescue effort from entering the mine since the first blast last Friday afternoon.
The twenty nine men unaccounted for are now presumed dead with it being very likely they died in the intial blast.
Their ages ranged from 17 to 62 and 24 were New Zealanders, 2 Australians, 2 Scots and 1 South African.
We would now like the international media to leave the West Coast area please and stp trying to second guess actual experts and play the blame game. Miners, their families and freinds can get very hostile when you push them. We can't make our own media go away, but they're on borrowed time too.
