New British Destroyer........

Press Release to coincide with the introduction of the new Type 45 Destroyers.
Details have been released regarding Britain's introduction of the next generation of fighting ships. The Royal Navy is proud of the cutting edge capability of the fleet of Type 45 destroyers. Costing £750 million, they have been designed to meet the needs of the 21st century; in addition to state of the art technology, weaponry, and guidance systems, the ships will comply with the very latest employment, equality, health & safety and human rights legislation.
They will be able to remain at sea for several months and positively bristle with facilities. For instance, the new user friendly crow's nest comes equipped with wheelchair access. Live ammunition has been replaced with paintballs to reduce the risk of anyone getting hurt and to cut down on the number of compensation claims. Stress councillors and lawyers will be on duty 24hrs a day, and each ship will have its own onboard industrial tribunal.

We were so poor.......
We were so poor in our house when we were young, on Christmas morning if you didn’t wake up with an erection you had nothing to play with.

The BIG bounce..........from Rico
Ayn was one smart woman. She wrote about "the BIG bounce" long before any of the economic 40# brains even had a glimmer of a clue.
Sadly, this is true even today. We are witnessing pretend-and-extend economics, also known as MOPE (management of perception economics).

Redneck Traffic Stop
The guy hands the cop his driver’s license, insurance verification, and registration. The policeman notices a Concealed Carry Permit as the man was fishing out his drivers license. So the cop asks, “Are you carrying today?”
“Well then, better tell me what you got.”
The guy says, “Well, I got a .357 revolver in my inside coat pocket. There’s a 9mm semi-auto in the glove box. And, I’ve got a .22 magnum derringer in my right boot.”
“Okay,” the cop says. “anything else?”
“Yeah, back in the trunk, there’s an AR15 and a shotgun. That’s about it.”
The cop asks, "Are you on your way to or from a gun range ?”
“Nope.”
“Well then, what are you afraid of ?”
The guy responds, “Not a damn thing.”

PACIFIC OCEAN (Dec. 10, 2010) The Los Angeles-class attack submarine USS Houston (SSN 713) leads a formation of ships from USS George Washington (CVN 73) Carrier Strike Group and Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) for a photo exercise during the final day of Exercise Keen Sword 2011. The exercise enhances the Japan-U.S. alliance which remains a key strategic relationship in the Northeast Asia Pacific region. Keen Sword caps the 50th anniversary of the Japan - U.S. alliance as an "alliance of equals." (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 3rd Class Adam K. Thomas)

Facebook Wrestles With Free Speech and Civility
You think?
The story's at New York Times.
Turns out that Mark Zuckerberg and Co. are developing a "hate and harassment team" ...
...charged with taking down content that is illegal or violates Facebook’s terms of service. That puts them on the front line of the debate over free speech on the Internet.Right.
Free speech on the Internet?
What a quaint notion. Progressives can't have that, as my comment threads indicate, repeatedly.
See, "Homocide," and "Why Progressives Read Boing Boing." And follow the links there to Boing Boing's demonic Cthulhu sex-toys and sundry other objects of nihilistic abandon.

Log-rolling-Socialism-Flat Tax........from Rico
Printing fiat paper money = log-rolling debt that cannot ever be "paid off" even at zero-interest!
- If you stopp the log-rolling, you "splash."
By 2008 the USG and Corporate debt exceeded Global GDP. Even IF the US could DOUBLE it's GDP now (under current circumstances, just figure the odds of that happening), this "ponzi" scheme cannot be kept from "splashing."
BUT, thanks to the wonders of Socialism, Obama HAS a PLAN.
The Obama Flat Tax solves all of our problems. No more money, no more problems. Gee, thanks....I guess.
- Trust him, he's the Government and he's here to help!
