When I read some British journalists, visions of Britain’s “ban the bomb” demos in the 50s dance in my head. Most of those people are gone now, and the ones who aren’t either write for the UK’s leftist Guardian or read it. Below, one of their writers has stumbled upon a disturbing item from Iran. (Emphases mine) Notice how he steers his readers away from the obvious conclusion - the need for a military strike against Iran - and defying all experience and logic, twists the piece like a pretzel into a pitch for “sanctions.” That is to say, the closer Iran gets to nuclear weapons, and becomes more brazen in the process, the more a proven passive failure like sanctions need to be re-applied. Of course, it isn’t the first time twits like this avoided reality, and clear signs, and made the world ripe for war. df

PACIFIC OCEAN (June 6, 2011) An F/A-18F Super Hornet assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 22 performs an aerial refueling with an EA-6B Prowler assigned to Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 134 during an air power demonstration over the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70).
