Melanie Phillips Explains 'Why I left the Spectator'
Except that she couldn't provide a lot of details, but for those of us fighting for free speech, in Britain, Canada, Europe, and the United States, Phillips' case is a stark wake-up call to double-down in the battle against Islamo-communist tyranny, at home and abroad.

The President in Heels: Bachmann Rising.............by Dan Friedman
Sunday, Michele Bachman was on “Fox News Sunday” and CBS’s “Face The Nation.” In case you missed her, here and here are videos of her appearances. Bachmann did very well, looked and sounded very “presidential,” and wisely stayed on message, spending little time chasing after the interviewers' red herrings. You’ll definitely want to see Chris Wallace ask the “flake” question and watch Bachmann’s reply. According to stories this A.M., Wallace has issued an apology but Bachmann isn’t buying. She has bigger fish to fry.
“Madame President” anyone?
NB: Not much from Mrs. Andrew Sullivan as yet. Must be hung over after celebrating NY’s passage of the oxymoronic same sex marriage bill. (One small step for man?) But after he’s had some hair of the dog – and a look at the videos - I predict poor Andrew, as well as his cohorts on the hysterical left, will start having nightmares and night sweats again. I’ll alert you when I hear his screams.

Now THAT'S cooking!!!............from Rico
I couldn't help but laugh at the recipe for a tossed salad.
- I always did like trebuchets.
But, all seriousness aside, one thing I will NOT be tossing is my new supply of Bacon Hot Sauce.
- Genius, sheer GENIUS!!! Bacon is good. Hot sauce is good. The combination of both is, well...bleedin' diabolical!

U.S. Soccer Team Booed in Pasadena -- Mexico Had 'Home Team' Advantage

Gay Pride Parade New York 2011
The New York gay marriage vote has energized the activist base, although the battle for same-sex marriage faces tough obstacles across the rest of the country. See all the links here: "New York City Gay Pride Parade 2011."
It's a sign of the further moral degradation of society. And I've got a major analysis up as well, debunking David Frum, a former conservative now in favor of gay marriage: "Gay Marriage and Sexual Exclusivity."
