Punchbowl running dry.......from Rico
Martin Armstrong is something akin to true 'genius'...something rare these days!
- While his graphic (attached) dates from the 1980's, you can bet that manufacturing has shrunk and gooberment has increased. Not a good sign!
While the Great Depression was no fun, at least the farmers made it through. Today's X-box generation won't have as easy a time of it once Frankenfoods stops delivering to the corner grocery store.
- Pringles don't grow on trees.
With the FED today demonstrating that it has no more bullets to use, and that Ben's tenure has been a turd in the punchbowl, all that seems to remain to do are make the introductions:
- Titanic, meet Iceberg!

At The UN Obama Threads the Needle............by Dan Friedman
Acutely aware his reelection at home is in jeopardy, Obama spoke to the UN General Assembly today. His speech, at least the section that dealt with “the peace process,” was a feat of rhetorical engineering. I’m sure if you counted the words, the number devoted to Israel and the number devoted to “Palestine” would be equal.
You can be sure the White House looked high and low for a “peace” quote from Abbas, and this was the best they could come up with: “We will spare no effort and we will work diligently and tirelessly to ensure these negotiations achieve their cause.” Heh, even as Obama quotes Abbas, he fails to recognize (or ignores) his duplicity.
Here is the White House transcript of the speech.

Destroying to Save?..........from Rico
Does anyone still remember the old Vietnamese Imperial City of Hue on the Perfume River?
Well, back in the day, some genius said "we had to destroy the city to 'save' it."
Gee, thanks Benny! Didn't know you were a student of History, but merely thought of you as an Ivy-league Keynesian Economics Professor!
Looks like you had to 'destroy' the 30-yr US Bond to 'save' it!
Nice.
Chubby Checker's "Twist" was at least entertaining. Yours stinks.
