Biden Catches a Spear For Obama.................by Dan Friedman
A story broke during Rosh Hashana that many Jews may have missed. In a nutshell, the NYT* revealed Joe Biden went down to Florida to stroke the Jewish sheep and ask them to go quietly into Obama’s abattoir in the coming election. Biden even brought the Jews a burnt offering – himself. When one of the rabbis present screwed up his courage and asked why Obama had yet to release Jonathan Pollard, the VP replied Obama favored Pollard’s early release but he was dead set against it, putting the kibosh on the idea.
This is a yarn spun by the White House to turn Biden into Obama’s fall guy and take the heat (such as it is) off the president. Better to collect your checks, Jews. The question isn't should Christie run, but what are his chances of beating Mitt Romney? Might be tough, at this point, and he's vulnerable on the issues just like Rick Perry, who's now kinda crashing after the big debut. And of course Christie will face endless attacks for his weight, which isn't just unfair, but genuinely cruel. The Los Angeles Times asks, "Is Christie's weight fair game, or did Letterman cross the line?" And do we even need to ask?

Corrigan Brothers to assist the Mooney Show in World record attempt-Plan to break Jay Leno's record in Dublin on November 16th
On Saint Patrick’s day this year American talk show host Jay Leno set a world record for gathering 220 Leprechauns in the one place for his world famous Tonight Show. Now RTE radio one , Ireland’s national radio station’s the Mooney Show hosted by Derek Mooney is determined to beat American talk show host Jay Leno and his Guinness World Record for gathering the largest number of leprechauns in one place. And to help him do it the Mooney show have asked the Corrigan Brothers to write the song for the occasion. The Brothers who have achieved over seven million you tube hits with their international chart hit “There’s no one as Irish as Barack Obama” were delighted to accept the invite. Lead singer Ger Corrigan said “ we were thrilled to get the call from Derek to be involved, he is a great friend and a man who loves a bit of fun, this will be great and we look forward to working with Derek and Brenda and the entire Mooney Show team again”.
The song entitled “Mooney’s Leprechauns” will feature regularly on the show between now and the record attempt and Corrigan Brothers will play it live at the world record attempt in Dublin on November 16th.
Corrigan Brothers are currently recording their second album and will be touring in the USA and UK in the Spring of 2012.
