Cap and Trade?..............from Brian
Pensions are out of control and threaten to bankrupt several cities and states. Heard that a firefighter in San Jose receives $95K per year, plus medical. Wow. So how about this....cap all government (city, state, federal) pensions at the same as a retired military member, regardless of the position they held. Why should ANY government employee receive a higher pension than an individual who put their life on the line for their country? In order to do that, bring their pay in line with what their military counterparts make. That should fix SEVERAL problems!

Book of the Day..........

RULES OF THE HUNT is unlike any business book you’ll ever read. You won’t find any trendy advice, complex theories, or unrealistic promises. Rather, you’ll get the kind of honest, down-to-earth advice you would expect from a trusted mentor.
A successful entrepreneur with more than 30 years of experience in the trenches, Michael Dalton Johnson knows what it takes to build and run a profitable business. In Rules of the Hunt, he provides invaluable insight into everything you need to know—from practical skills like negotiating, recruiting, and time management to “soft” skills like mental agility and personal growth.
His advice will accelerate your growth and profits—delivered in a friendly, often humorous way through brief business anecdotes, short tutorials, case histories, an occasional rant, and a few horror stories. And, in true mentor form, Johnson helps you preserve both your physical and mental health during your chase for business success.
In essence, Rules of the Hunt teaches you what business schools can’t. Learn everything you need to know about:

Clip of So-Called Muslim 'Apostate' Slaughter in Tunisia is Recycled Syria Al-Nusra Front Beheading
Well, it's recycled, but no less gut-wrenching.
Don't click the link if you have a queasy stomach.
See: "Purported Tunisia Apostate Beheading is Recycled Video From Syria's Al-Nusra Front (al Qaeda) — EXTREME CONTENT WARNING!"
Again, this is graphic footage. These things never get easier to watch, and I've posted probably a half dozen by now, at least.

Barack Obama, however, is a man whose life story contains many holes with little likelihood of them ever getting filled.
