Just like there are different versions of the truth, and Jimmy Buffet looks at love 'from a different point of view' here are some versions of "change" under different scenarios...different degrees of "change" (all of them negative change, ranging from bad to worse and all disastrous).
Bear in mind that 'optimistically' the US GDP is limping along at roughly +1%, so even the mildest scenario depicted here (say a <.5%>) is extremely bad news.
Here is a handy-dandy degarbler of Fed-speak/FTV-speak/Congress-speak (read: bullshit) as the US meanders towards the fiscal cliff.
Boy howdy! That whole CHANGE thing just isn't working out as expected, is it?

BHO's Nightmare: Israel Protects Itself By Itself.....................by Dan Friedman
If there is a theme flowing through Obama’s relationship with Israel, it’s his attempt to blunt Israel’s ability to take unilateral action against clear and present dangers that arise in its own neighborhood. There isn’t much argument that Obama has backed Israel into a corner when it comes to Iran – and that was his intent. Now comes another instance of the same policy that reinforces the belief that neutering Israel is an involuntary response that’s innate and bound up in Obama’s DNA.
The revolution in Syria has brought the issue of Syria’s chemical weapons into sharp relief. And Israel has made plain it’s keeping a close eye on the situation and is prepared to intervene if that becomes necessary. As if on cue, that has spurred talks with Obama’s worried emissaries whose cover story is “close coordination” with Israel. In reality that translates to “we need to get inside Israel’s head so we can stop it from doing anything that might upset the status quo and make Obama look bad.”
One would like to think that Israel’s leadership, already burnt by Iran, understands Obama’s nature by now and has made the necessary adjustments to protect its own hide without asking him for permission. But given Netanyahu’s (and Ehud Barak’s) track record to date, plus the Jewish people’s proven capacity for self-destruction, that hope might just be wishful thinking.

Sex-Crazed Psychopath? Shooting Suspect James Holmes Was Allegedly Scoping Out Sex Website 'Adult Friend Finder'
Even the New York Times is reporting this, but it's so lurid folks are reluctant to push this angle.
See: "Shooting Suspect James Holmes Allegedly Trolled Sex Site 'Adult Friend Finder'."

And Holmes is apparently seen with dyed wild orange hair, as if mimicking "The Joker" from the "Batman" movies.
This story is developing.

Left Exploits Colorado Shooting to Push for New Wave of Gun Control
One of the more stupid arguments came from film critic Roger Ebert, who argued that no one was carrying inside the theater, but that wouldn't stop open-carry advocates who claim that armed citizens can stop crimes in progress. What idiot Ebert didn't realize is that the theater had a "gun-free zone" policy -- no guns were allowed on the premises, so no one would have been armed to fight back. Besides, the suspect James Holmes was said to have exited out of the back of the theater, changed into his attack gear outside at his car, and reentered the movie after propping open the back door.

Check the report: "Cries for Gun Control Following Colorado Shooting Massacre."
It turns out New Jersey Sen. Frank Lautenberg announced he'll introduce gun control legislation to the Congress. Lautenberg's a Democrat, so it figures.
More at the link.
And FWIW, see the report from the New York Times, "Gunman Kills 12 in Colorado, Reviving Gun Debate."

IMF throwing Greece under the bus?.................from Rico
This morning's Der Spiegel (Germany) has a real doozy worth paying attention to.
- The IMF plans to dump Greece.
The actual headline is: "IWF will Griechenland-Hilfen stoppen" (transl: 'IMF wants to stop Greek help').
- The implications of this are enormous, as Greece finally goes financially "el busto" by September without more EUro's...it's then out of cash. (This might also give pause for thought to some other countries, like Portugal and Ireland, for example who might be next in line to get tiretracks up their backs).
So who and what is the IMF anyway?
- If you noted the recent, abrubt, resignation of Peter Doyle from the IMF (perhaps a sign that the ship is sinking) it is a badly-corrupted intergovernmental 'globalist' creature viewed by many as the potential World Central Bank in some future one-world fantasy (oh yeah, more centralized and concentrated bank corruption will fix everything...let's imagine LIeBORgate on a global scale why don't we?).
