It is a relatively simple plan for an extremely difficult and complex problem.
The trick for the Republican Party will be to overcome the lies, distortions and fear mongering being spread by the Obama campaign!

Family Research Council Attack: Security Guard Foils Shooting by Far Left-Wing Suspect Carrying Chick-fil-A Promotional Materials and Armed With Sig Sauer 9MM Pistol
This story's still developing. The suspect is reportedly seen under arrest at this picture.

The suspect was reportedly carrying Chick-fil-A promotional materials, attempting to look sympathetic to FRC's policy agenda. In contrast to recent shootings like Aurora and Tuscon, the FRC suspects's a vicious, hate-addled left-wing criminal perp.

UPDATE: It turns out the suspect worked at an LGBT center. This doesn't look good for the progressive "tolerance" brigades.

TAX THE RICH! IT'S ONLY FAIR!
This resonates very well with people, and politicians know this...that is why they lie through their teeth and say complete nonsense like "tax the rich" and the rich aren't paying their "fair share" of taxes.
Nobody 'likes' paying taxes. OK. Understood.
Many of us that DO pay taxes, think we pay too much now, making yet higher taxes very unpopular.
- But, there are a LOT of people who pay NO taxes, yet get the benefit of tax-dollars taken from someone else who does pay taxes. Take a good look at the bottom two income quintiles (that's 40% for recent government-run school graduates and/or Obama supporters). This is what is called (a) something for nothing, (b) a free lunch, (c) wealth re-distribution, (d) "fair", or (e) all of the above.
If you are in the top 20% income-wise and are paying 94% of the taxes, you already know this is a very shitty deal.
- The only thing Barry & Co. want to do for you is make it an even shittier deal (tax the rich, read: increase taxes on anyone and everyone still paying taxes), and remove the choice between smooth and chunky.

Barack Obama, for whatever reason, has taken his eye off of the national security ball and instead devotes all of his time and energy to campaigning, attempting to destroy RomneyRyan2012 and dividing the country to try and win votes for the November election.
