I and many others already knew and disapproved of these Senators and others actions. I pointed it out (needlessly) to my Senator and Reps. many times. They said they knew but there was nothing that they could actually do except to warn the IRS not to do it.
Nothing will most likely come of any of this anyway, but maybe it will delay any more (other) idioticy from our elected idiots for awhile.

Never mind that there is NO depth to the physical precious metals supply any longer, there is plenty of unbacked paper!
- While physical demand is one a 1:1 basis, the paper supply is easily 100:1.
Let's skip the cartoon shows called MSNBC, CNBC and their ilk and consider:
- London continues to deliver physical bullion at a blistering pace.
- Shanghai appears to be 'out' of bullion.
- GLD has dropped 300 tons YTD.
- COMEX vaults are down 100 tons YTD.
- JPM keeps juggling their 'eligible' and 'registered' inventory to keep from running out.
- China imported 220 tons in March alone.
- Indian demand is UP, but only 10% of bullion orders are being filled.
To badly paraphrase a wiser head than mine: "If you want to hold paper bullion, why NOT cut out the middleman, save time and money, and just flush your fiat down the toilet?"

Last week was one of the worst for Obama in his presidency. This week looks no better. Indeed, it may be a long, hot summer for the White House. As Jonathan has pointed out, the IRS scandal is growing bigger, seemingly by the minute. The Benghazi scandal is continuing to percolate.

Consider the shipping index reflecting world trade, the Baltic Dry Index, as an indicator of what is REALLY happening in the global economy as opposed to what the cartoon channels of FTV are telling you.
- Today the Baltic Dry Index is ~900.....5 years ago it was 11,000.

Seems the media is being forced to stick their noses in here and many of them don’t like what they are finding. That doesn’t mean that they will report the truth by the way as is evident in what this flaming windbag is reporting, or what this spin meister is spinning!
AH but there are those that are actually digging in and assembling the facts and then there are those that are asking the hard questions. Did any of you know that 2 men, both retired SEALS held off over 200 terrorist attackers and killed 60? AND THEY didn’t have sufficient armament when they ran into harms way. They used the weapons that the Libyan guards dropped when they abandoned their guard posts!
This is an interesting perspective. Oh and then there is that nasty IRS thing – more on that later. Suffice it to say these people were targets….

"Craftsmanship has been democratized, in the sense that anybody who can get a file can make a gun potentially from undetectable materials," says 3D Systems CEO Avi Reichental, "the reality is that you could have done it 10 years ago if you were a good machinist, but now you don't have to be a machinist you just need the file."
