Gunpowder Treason and Plot – Blow It Up Salt the Earth and Start Again.......from Dan T

In Great Britain November the Fifth is known as Guy Fawkes Day which concludes with Bonfire Night where fireworks explode in the air and bonfires are lit upon which an effigy of gunpowder plotter Guido ‘Guy’ Fawkes is ritually burnt.  For the uninitiated the Gunpowder Plot was a conspiracy by a group of Roman Catholics to assassinate the Protestant King James I and replace him with the Catholic Queen Elizabeth of Bohemia.

They planned to do this by blowing up the Houses of Parliament on November the Fifth in the year 1605 when the King was due to address the Members at the opening of a new session.

The plot was discovered when the night before the Kings attendance the palace guards caught Guy Fawkes in the cellars below the House with barrels of gunpowder ready to ignite.

Guy Fawkes and his fellow conspirators were tortured mercilessly then tried for treason and convicted. The punishment for treason reflected the seriousness of the crime and the conspirators were subsequently hung, drawn and quartered after which their body parts were distributed around the Kingdom as a warning to others.

Due to the treasonous behavior of the current inhabitants of the British Parliament, Guy Fawkes is being rehabilitated as a hero after more than four centuries as a villain. He is lauded as ‘the last man to enter Parliament with honorable intentions’ and his image is now used as a symbol of rebellion.

While to many trigonometry has uses, it is marginally useful to most.

- Today marks the 50th anniversary of my never having once used it...making it useless to me.

 

And, looking back over the past 50 years, I also realize the Democrats have been, at best, useless to America.

- 1968 or 2018, they remain useless malcontents unable to positively contribute to the Republic (which they delight in conflating with 'democracy' which it is not, but only what they 'wish' it were).

 

Then there are the useless and harmful things, like George Soros, Globalist-Communist, who will fund anything and everything damaging and destructive to Western civilization.

- Recently, one of their resident cultural Marxists said 'white men were the biggest US terror threat.' Wut?

 

He neglected to mention that his 'boyfriend' was a terrorist...er, white man.

Anyone who takes the 'advice' of a celebrity or teleprompter reader giving the evening 'news' is an even bigger dummy than the pillow-biter giving said advice.

- They are not exactly refugees from 'starvation' or anything else...well, maybe they're fleeing prison terms in their own shit-hole countries which makes the fugitives not refugees.

- Let's put the economic globe in perspective.

 

Consider:

- The top 10 economies in the world, who you see there and who you do not.

- Now look at the relative scale of the world's economies, with the same filter....shows vs no-shows.

- Last, the actual land mass of those economies 'corrected' from the misleading Mercator projection we're all used to seeing.

 

It's time for the tail to stop trying to wag the dog...
