Monologue | Thursday night on “The Jay Leno Show” on NBC:
More problems for the auto industry. General Motors announced this week they’re recalling 1.3 million compact cars here in North America to address a power steering problem. Apparently, since President Obama took over the company, all the cars are veering to the left.
In the Democratic gubernatorial primary, Texas voters overwhelmingly nominated former Houston Mayor Bill White over Pakistani-born businessman Farouk Shami. Who could have seen that coming? Imagine Texans choosing a white guy named white over a Pakistani born businessman named Farouk Shami. It’s like the world is upside down.
President Obama had his annual physical last week. And while his colonoscopy revealed no polyps, they did find three MSNBC reporters and a New York Times columnist.
This week, the government officially clarified exactly what the word organic means. It now means three times more expensive.

2010 census.............from Rico
About one-quarter of this year's form asks illegitimate and unconstitutional race and ethnicity questions.
I'm taking a wild guess here, but answering "that's none of your f**king business" might possibly be viewed as unacceptable.
I saw one wit who suggested answering "human" for race, and while this is technically true and correct I still prefer the answer "American" and will probably use that.
- I liked Teddy Roosevelt's opinion that there was no room here for hyphenated-Americans, only Americans so that is what I'll hang my hat upon.
Leaving "blanks" or "unanswered" questions prompts visits from gummint/ACORN census workers so I'm planning on providing answers....just not the ones they expect.

Italian judge caught with Che Guevara picture in her office

Filippo writes:
An Italian judge , ANNA ARGENTO has refused to accept the list of Berlusconi's party for the next local elections (it's a big scandal in Italy right now) on the ground they were not presented properly. When interviewed by RAI (equivalent of BBC) it was found she had a portrait of CHE GUEVARA!!
You understand now why Silvio Berlusconi is absolutely right when denouncing the italian magistracy of being a bunch of communists trying to undermine his policies, his work and that most of the accusation are simply politically motivated!
Disgusting!
