    I have a 4kw pure sign wave inverter that takes a 10 to 28 volt input. My F350 came with a 1500W inverter onboard but I can hook up the 4Kw inverter to the battery of the truck. The truck will burn 3.5 gallons of fuel in 12 hours running both power sources. I went this route after the headaches I had with a 4.5kw generator's diesel motor on the farm.
