I would add the results of the Primary vote in Carolina tonight to your list. I feel like I now know what it's like to live in a Nation in decline. Robert A Heinlein had something to say about democracy and dictatorship and the fact that both are based on unsupportable principals. One says that one person is better than a lot of people and the other says that a lot of people is better than one. Neither of these propositions is demonstrably correct, God help us all.
