I make no apologies for my obsession with the Bone Yard....I just find the whole place amazing. It's a 'living' museum. I think I have got them in the right order.
I have watched all 4 and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I used to have a pic of a row of 747s in TWA livery sitting out there slowly wasting away. I saw a video of them cutting them up for scrap that almost made me cry....
The warbirds seem more like a memorial so it doesn't bother me as much.
as a kid iwas fixated on airfix models?i knew about this place before the internet but only from documenteries when bbc &itv was educational and i could stay up late if my mother said so?
The Oz F111 dumping fuel and lighting it up with reheat...... saw it at Fairford (the day the ruskies bumped into each other)
Spectacular low level pass down the runway towing a fireball.... does nothing for the mpg figures.

There is more cash sitting there decaying than most militaries have or have ever had. If these things flew it would be one of the largest and powerful airforces in the world.
Freedom isn't free, and then socialist totalitarians aren't that productive. Why I have no worries about China or Russia. One week in and all their kit would be gone with no replacements available. (even if this means nukes too)
I lived in Phoenix for years, and can't count the times friends from out-of-state would visit me and ask to be taken to two places in Tucson: the Pima Air Museum, and the Boneyard.
Even though I've seen them more times than I can easily recall, I would go back again today if asked.
The RAF should go shopping here like the Aussies, we need C130's, CH47's as we dont have enough and we should seriously consider buying some A10's as we dont have enough CAS in Afghanistan.
Stop buying that European filth and get some kit off the shelf without waiting for years and some French/German fucker to sign a parts contract, after all its only the Brits and the Yanks doing any fighting so fuck off Europe!
Can I go shopping now Theo-I am ready for the military coup in this country oh and I'm sure the Gurkhas would be behind me all the way!
