'Defra not to blame for FMD'. Has a civil servant ever been held responsible for their actions?

Free Press Stifled at United Nations, Reporters Say. Hardly surprising as the UN is possibly the most corrupt outfit on the planet. We need to leave it and build something new based on the Commonwealth.

Ok, so lets drag the liberals into the streets and stone them to death. Or set them on fire. Then the Muslims will feel right at home!

Islam means "Kill them 'till they shut up!"

No, that would be a disaster.

If it was based on the Commonwealth then it would exclude the United States, and we have all the money and neato high tech military gear. (No shortage of machine guns for the GI's!)

Ask yourself this: If there is trouble somewhere, who usually rolls up their sleeves and takes care of business?

Here's a hint. When the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunamis rolled through and killed hundreds of thousands, which countries were on the scene first with the gear needed to save lives?

It isn't the Commonwealth nations who respond when the call goes out, but the English speaking nations. Australia, Great Britain, the US. It's the Aussies and the Brits that are the most worthy of admiration because they always punch above their weight.

(Canada? Meh, they used to. Now, not so much.)

I think it would be best of the Anglosphere formed the core of a new UN. You wouldn't have to speak English to join, just act like the people who do.

James. The Commonwealth should be opened up to new members such as the US and Poland and other suitable candidates. The Anglosphere is based on the Commonwealth and it would be complete if the US came back into the fold
