That looks like the New Jersey firing her guns just before the US Marines scuttled out of Beruit utterly defeated by a few guys with a truck and a bit of fertiliser.
No point having weapons if they can't be used effectively and the US seems spectacularly success in inventing new ways to place egg on their own faces.
I don't think so - it's the civilian deaths you inflict in the cause of noy putting your "brave" little soldiers in any danger that creates enemies faster than you can kill them.

Yes the US government is afraid of killing too many enemy. So they make our forces fight with one or both arms tied behind their back.
