This photo was part of 1964/1965 advertising campaign. "Mercury outboards are so good, they will plane a kitchen table." I had a 6 horsepower Merc that would run circles around 9.5 Johnson's and Evinrude's. Motor is at bottom of Toledo Bend Reservoir (Texas/LA border). Thanks for nostalgia.
