On my nephew's first official carrier take off, the film show the plane nosing down just at launch, and then powering out. My brother,(former Marine chopper pilot) turned to his son and asked, "WTF?" My nephew had tried to retract the arrestor hook on take off, like the "cool aviators" do. He hit the throttle instead....
Its only ok to be a vain pilot on the ground.....
