...It took a while to 'edit' the carrier vid and I would appreciate it if people watched it. It is worth the time and I try to post vids that you would all like. Thanks to all those who have watched it and I will post the next episode when I get it.

Already seen it on telly, thanks. Nice to see what 'targets' get up to from time to time.
Theo, some of us are nine hours behind the UK, and will watch it a bit later in the day. It's not yet 9 a.m. here in Alaska, and I'm taking my dad to see an old gold mine this morning. By the way, he and I are both veterans (Korea and Viet Nam, respectively), so we appreciate VERY MUCH all you do to keep the issues in front of the public.
Its a weekend, Theo - and a holiday weekend here in the States, to boot.
a spare 45 minutes is hard to find in such cases. Give them time...
I plan on watching it - but not 'til tonight.
I loved the dam-buster bomb post! Saw some of the stuff on History channel or Nova a while back.
I have a cousin serving on the Illustrious.
Been watching it on TV
I hope you forgive me for not watching. I've spent three years on the Ark Royal and that was enough for me.
Just to mention.....
I am a member of the UKNDA,
a newish...lobby group trying to get more funding for UK armed forces.
Google it, have a read of the home page,
you can register as a supporter of the association...OR....why not join us as a fully paid up member for £12 a year.
It will be money well spent!!!
Cool off, Chappie. Not everyone is on your schedule (or mine).
Sooner or later we find the time to devote 45 minutes, but not until weekends or insomnia attacks.
I just watched first segment; it is fair.
My niece served on the Bonhomme Richard ("Bonny Dick") in Desert Storm as a wet behind the ears newly minted Intel Officer, and has been back on the Boxer, and is now getting ready to deploy a third time to Iraq, this time on the ground as a full fledged Intel Lt. Cmdr. The Bonny Dick and Boxer carry heli's, jump jets and cadres of USMC, so I've seen and heard all about this stuff.
Plus, we all saw Top Gun, right?
I don't remember noticing it, but I've been skimming a lot lately--time between pains has been short--easing up today--trying to get caught up on my reading.
Get tetchy, rant away, you're doing a great job and have never ranted without good reason.
well, I've watched them--sounds a lot like my days at see long ago, except we didn't have women, and we didn't have alcohol, and we didn't have meals brought to us at stations.
45 minutes of a foreign language was tough, although there were some English subtitles which helped.
There's a lot of stuff on NASA TV about the Phoenix landing at the moment so I'm viddying that.
I'll get around to watching the HMS Illustrious stuff, fear ye not.
I was fascinated by your "The Greatest Raid" series. I tried to comment to show my appreciation, but suddenly needed a Google account. Now it looks like the comments section is open again to non account holders.
I enjoy your entire blog, the totties and wenches as well as the politics, planes and old cards and advertisements.
I plan to watch tonight after the family hits the sack... around 2200 Houston time . Thanks for posting.

I think the other commenters are right, Theo. Lots of reasons why the videos may not have been viewed. I know it has to be disappointing and frustrating to make the effort to post something you think is worthwhile and then see a less than enthusiastic response from the readers, but please don't take it out on them. You have to think of yourself as the head waiter. You serve up the menu, and the reader chooses what to 'dine' on. Lower your expectations a little bit. Better to be pleasantly surprised than bitterly disappointed.
Dude, I can't always get the video downloads to work well over this connection, so sometimes I have to visit a video later.
I keep up the good work for us few
