isn't that a B-1 bomber? i thought those were all grounded because of technical problems...used to see them all the time when we were stationed in Japan...if i'm not mistaken they replaced the B-52...and yes they are a thing of beauty to see...
More "supplemented" than replaced. Still several wings of H-model BUFFs running around.
All of the G and earlier models, save for a few spiked as gate guards, are at the Boneyard being turned into BUFF chips. There's an F at Orlando International Airport (MCO), formerly McCoy AFB, nee Pinceastle AFB. Another F is at the Air Force Museum at Wright-Pat.
There is (at least, was) a B at the National Atomic Museum when it was on Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque. Don't think it will fit into their new digs downtown. Hopefully, their permanent facility will have room for it and the other large artifacts (missiles, other aircraft, the sail from a Boomer, etc.)
There is one BUFF at the Wings Over the Rockies air museum on the grounds of the former Lowry AFB ( and a B-1A inside ) and a BUFF is a gate guard at the Air Force Academy.
The BUFF will be flying after the B-1 is retired, I suspect.

That reminds me, have you seen the B-1R concept?
