While the genius/s Obama was visiting Mt. Rushmore he wondered how they filmed the movie "North by Northwest. In the movie Cary Grant and Eva Saint were hanging off Jefferson's eyeball. Quote: "How did they get up there in the first place?" he asked ranger Wesley Jensen.
"They didn't. It was a movie set," Jensen told him.
"Pretty spiffy, isn't it," said the Illinois senator, summing up his overall impressions.
This fool wants to be President of The United States of America, it is a sad time in our history. More on this at Gateway Pundit http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2008/05/egad-obama-discovers-mt-rushmore-movie.html Atlas Shrugs has more on Obama's mythical intelligence. By placing BHO on top of Mt Rushmore, and more specifically standing on Lincoln, the artist is showing that a black man has been set free, and is now almost president.
Lincoln would be proud, along with the other presidents.
Heck, I am proud that he made it...
of course, if elected his policies will destroy the USA.
This Luckovich cartood of Obama standing in front the Lincoln Memorial brings to mind Shakespeare's Macbeth: "By the pricking of my thumbs, somewthing wicked this way comes."
Kennedy is missing. Modern US politics is 'not my period', as historians are wont to intone, but I'd hazard that the artist is suggesting that Obama represents a travesty of the Lincoln ideal, hence the vulgar self-glorification of Obama above Lincoln's bust, and is more nearly the realisation of Kennedy's facile oratory, emphasised by the all too obvious omission.
I'm probably mistaken, and spouting nonsense but that's my interpretation.

Hasn't it got something to do with MLKing's speech where he said saomething the the effect,'I have come to the mountain....'?

Nope: his evident glee, in juxtaposition with the conifers below, reveal that Sen Obama is declaiming: "I'm A Lumberjack, and I'm Okay".
