the only problem is that most games are only compatable with windows - but it sucks

Then why do they out preform PC"s when both are running Vista? Mac's outscore the PC's that were designed for use with Vista?

It's just Mac envy.

All the things you say about MAC's are true, and more. With 20 years of Computing behind me and the use of the first Apple Mac in Janurary 1984, I can say that MAC's are better.

No buts. Signed the unhappy owner of more that 100 solaris and windows servers.

As exhibited by the spelling above, some Mac owners require them because of a lack of inate intelligence.
For their education:
compatable -- compatible
out preform -- outperform

Ok Theo, Don't go offending us superior Mac users...

We might have to remind you about how much Vista sucks, how nice it is to have a crash free OS and how easy it is to umm do stuf with,, um our macs and stuff.

So there!

Oh yes, they are.

@ juvat

Is that inate or innate? - I'd just like to check the spelling here....

Macs are nice...I got them for my kids and grandkids for school. My wife likes hers.

As an Engineer tho, I never run across them out in the real world. They don't, for whatever reason, run businesses other than places that need graphics.

I can easily go 5 years before I run up against a Mac in a business environment.

I use a PC cuz that's what my customers use. All jokes aside, PC's make me money...Mac's give me headaches trying to integrate them.

...and don't brag about them running windows as well as the Mac OS. That's no reason to brag.

To the mac owners who think they're all that...

Try Linux :)

We are as smug about you appliance users as you are regarding Windows :)

I'm a devout Mac-head and can't help but agree with "trainer": businesses love their PCs. For instance, my dentist's office is slavishly devoted to their PC billing and appointment system software. I watch them as they schedule me for my next appointments. They use the arrow keys to move all around the screen and "flip pages," then go furiously banging on the ENTER key a bunch of times. It's quite a treat watching them operate this 1980s-era software. There's usually a 13" green monochrome tube attached to their beige box running MS-DOS on 64MB of RAM as well. It fits right in with the architecture of their 60s-era building.

So yes, businesses love their PCs in their business software, even if it means being stuck in the 80s to do it.

Me, I'll go with the Mac and join the rest of the 21st century.

unsworth,
Clearly I was discussing International Network in Advanced Theological Education (INATE)

P.S. Dang, I hate when I do that! ;-)

Love My first Mac a powerbook G4 -876 It had equal performance with My wife's Pent 4 with 1 1/5 gigs of ram.
I just bought My new Macbook Pro July 5th, and I would have to say it is equal with My wife's Duo Quad and 3 gigs of ram.

Tugboat;

I've run Linux, off and on, since '98. It has its places, no question.

I still use MacOS most of the time, for most of my work and non-work.

As for finding Macs at work, being in systems development, they're all over the place, used by software developers and in engineering.

There are things to be said for being able to run Linux/BSD/Solaris/MacOS/Windows on one machine.

I don't interpret the cartoon to mean that the hardware running Macs is better than PC hardware; I think that it clearly refers to the inherent superiority of the Mac OS over Windows OSes. In that case, Macs really ARE that good!
