In 1953 the A. V. Roe plant in Toronto (same plant where the AVRO ARROW was built) the AVRO FLYING CAR was developed with USAF backing.
This picture may have been a U. S. prototype that was subsequently developed. While there is film of the AVRO CAR flying (see Google) I also believe the picture (with the F86) is photoshopped.
