Figures that would come from the feds.

If you divide the "Average Annual Expendatures" ($49,638) by the "Income Before Taxes" (63,091) and assume no savings (reasonable since the savings rate is usually negative) you see that there's 21.3% not represented on the chart. TAXES! That's a bigger slice of the pie than the largest segment shown (Shelter at 20.2%).

If I were President somebody would be fired for publishing that deceptive garbage.
