Appeal of the Day.............

Tom Newton-Dunn, Defence editor at The Sun and supporter of this blog writes.......

'In a bid to forget my pathetic abseil down The Sun’s HQ in a chicken suit, I am climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for Help For Heroes; with a little help.

Standing at 19,331 ft, Kili is the world’s highest freestanding mountain... and I am still afraid of heights.

Luckily, a team of wounded soldiers (two lower leg amputees, one who is blind, and one shot in the spine) plus a Page 3 girl are coming up with me. Undoubtedly, all five will beat my tear-stained, wretched heap to the top.

Please make this horror worthwhile and donate as much as you can to a hugely important cause. If you were kind enough to give in April, here’s a second chance to shame me. Afghanistan is getting worse, the guys really do need all the help they can get.

Thanks very much for anything you can do... Tom'.

You can donate to his climb HERE

Joining Tom will be Peta Todd pictured here with her clothes on.......

and The Band of Five with a few more of their wounded comrades.
