Slain Washington Officers Identified

2010385709

Lakewood Police officers slain in today's shooting are shown left to right: Mark Renninger, Tina Griswold, Ronald Owens and Greg Richards.

The four officers were killed at about 8:15 a.m. by a scruffy-looking man who walked into a coffee shop and opened fire. The officers — three men and one woman — were found dead by deputies who arrived at Forza Coffee at 11401 Steele St. S., said Pierce County Sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer.

Troyer said the investigation into the shootings indicate that the gunman "flat-out executed" two of the officers. One officer then stood up, tried to go for the gunman and was shot, Troyer said.

The fourth officer was involved in some kind of struggle with the gunman. Worst Ever Washington Police Shooting

God rest ye.

Yes, God take them into his arms along with their families.

This is terrible event that will for years change how police interact with the public. There will be no more "off duty" cops. No more cops sitting around in groups enjoying their last few minutes before hitting the streets. And when they finally finish their duty, they will go home with the thought...I can not let my guard down.

Perhaps that is the way it should be, but it will make for short careers and many more divorces.

P.S. But perhaps when they catch this animal, they will find out that he is just an Islamist who was earning points toward his virgins. Then of course, everyone will breath a sigh of relief.
