We Will Remember Them

Today, November 11th, 2009, was the first Remembrance Day without any World War One survivors.

The BBC has a special Ninety Years of Remembrance website. It reminded me that a great uncle of mine, Lionel Altman was killed in France in 1918. Here’s his Commonwealth War Graves Commission Record:



He was just 18 years of age. My uncle Lionel, who died earlier this year, was named after him.
