A 1718 designed Puckle flintlock machine gun? I remember it was designed to fire musket balls against Christians and cubes of lead against Turks - it was thought the edges and corners would cause more damage.
Gallimaufry is quite correct a Puckle Gun there is one in the Royal Tower Armories in Leeds a place that is well worth a visit.
