What worries me is that none of them are fit to run this country. Fo a start none have done military service, which to me is a duty.

Over here, Reagan never had military service. And he was one of the best President we had in the 20th century.
As long as they have character, it doesn't matter if they ARE a character.

Reagan did serve in uniform making training films, he never deployed to a combat zone. John Wayne never served because Republic Pictures refused to release him. Do not confuse the two, and do not hold the latter against Wayne more than is justified.
